Electric windows

Featured Replies

Hi guys, my 2007 avant electric windows have stopped working, I have checked the fuses which are ok. There is no sound coming from the motor and all the windows are closed. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum Michael, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :)

The first thing I'd advise is a diagnostic check to be carried out. But my key question do the windows work with their respective switches on the doors or have you just tried them off your drivers side control?

Cheer

Steve

Hello Michael,

As Steve's questions. If the windows do not work off any of the switches, and the fuse hasn't blown, it might - just might- be a faulty relay in that circuit.

As an alternative to spending on a diagnostic check, you could consider investing (the same?) funds with a local trusted auto electrician.

Perhaps you can keep us posted on how you get on.

Kind regards,

Gareth.

Thanks guys I have ruled out the fuses and yes all 4 don't work from any switch. My son is going to have a look at them as he is a technician(HGV) will keep you posted. Thanks again.
