I thinks that updating the mmi will corrupt the mmi and have knock on effects and not allow me ever to drive the car again.

and that there is no way of putting the car back because I dont have the orignal firmware disc.

If preformed correctly it will be fine 🙂

only reported issues that can happen is battery drain caused by cd player draining power that happens very rare.

what version have you got now ? 5570 is the lates 

So yea you can update to 5570
