Taffyo0
Hi, I’m new here, got Audi A3 1.6 tdi 2015, when I start it goes to 10000 rev, after about 20 min drive it goes down to 750 rev, any idea what this could be. Thx
Magnet
Hello Daren, I guess you mean 1000rpm rather than 10,000! If it's 1000 then this is fine - fast idle until it warms up a little. Once it has done that, then it should settle back to around 750rpm, as it does. Kind regards, Gareth.
Taffyo0
Thx for u reply, I found out if I use heater on rev go height for around 20 min of driving, if I not use heater it stay on750 rev, so I guess heater the issue, looked on internet could be battery, heat sensor, it still under warranty, and it booked in for service next week

I'd be very surprised if it's the battery bas the car is probably not even 4 years old. Cheers Steve
