Insect in my headlight

Featured Replies

Hi Guys I have just purchased a a black edition tdi quattro A5 177bhp.i have a dead fly in my headlight unit and can't think of a way to get the fly out, is there a simple solution

The only way it can get in is at the back assuming the lense isn't cracked etc. You'll have to remove the headlight to gain full access to the rear abd then shake it out.

Thanks I was hoping I wouldn't need to take the light out lol

Hi another possibility is if the lights are HID remove the inspection covers and bulb and gaffer tape a smaller piece of tubing to a vacuum cleaner hose waggle the pipe around inside the headlamp unit and suck it out.

Steve.

You could always send a spider in..... to catch the fly...... 😁 😁 😁

The vacuum cleaner sounds like a good idea 👍
