How to find if car has Android Auto?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm interested in a 2019 Audi A5 but want to know if it has android auto before purchasing. I found a place before where specific vin codes tells you what to look for in order to see if a specific car has it or not but can no longer find the information anywhere.

Can anyone help what and where on a vin indicates if it has android auto?

It will have been an extra, most likely via a tech pack.

You're best contacting the respective dealer regarding if the car has it once you've found one you're interested in.

This is where i am confused as I read that all A5's from late 17 have it.

How can I tell from pics if the car has the tech pack? Is it the bit between the instrument cluster where the standard is the square/rectangle digital but, whereas tech packs have the wider shape that is not square/rectangle?

Proof positive will be by obtaining the VIN, then walking into your local Audi dealer, and asking the Parts section if they would be kind enough to help you out with a copy of the build record. Arm yourself with a box of biscuits to lubricate the assistance.
Don’t try to do this over the phone, it seldom works that way.
