A6 Allroad C7 air suspension issues

Featured Replies

I wondered if prior to ordering a compressor repair kit if anyone could advise on an issue I am experiencing with my 2013 Audi A6 Allroad C7 and if in your opinion a compressor kit would sort the issue.
At start up and moving off the suspension appears to function properly but after a couple of minutes a warning message appears showing  “air suspension fault” and the ride/ suspension seems to feel less compliant and firmer, the ride height appears to be OK and when the car is turned off the car maintains its height when parked, on start up again the fault doesn’t show again until the car is driven for another couple of minutes.
We have scanned the system for fault codes with VCDS and three codes are stored
455693 front right ride height sensor mechanical failure.  403200 function shut-off active.   453633 pressure sensor for level control, residual pressure for lowering rear axle too low. I have forwarded you the screen photos of the VCDS scan below.
Please could you come back to me with your thoughts/ advice.
Thanks in advance

Change the ride height sensor first. Though they are 80 quid.

It's just I had a similar thing, and it was the sensor on the axle - have your auto-dipping lights failed too?

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for your reply, I will do as you suggest first before going any further!

Cheers.

I had a few fail. Also make sure you get a gen part. I ended up paying twice when I didn't.

But go for a run with the auto-dip on, if that won't work, it's the level sensor:

They've gone up in price!! jeez

Hi,

Thanks for the advice I’ll check the Auto lights before I go any further.

Place your faith with Bagpiping Andy ( via. EBay) for all air suspension issues.

Please let us know how you get on.

Thanks Magnet, I’ve already been in touch and had great advice from Bagpiping Andy.

Unfortunately he doesn’t yet offer a Compressor repair kit for C7 models.

Thanks to all for the advice, all issues now resolved by replacing the right front level sensor!
