NateJ95 Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Hi all, Wondering if you can help me diagnose the sound I am hearing in the video attached. Usually only hearing this when I get into my car or when I put a little pressure on it. I've checked all other sides and no similar noise. It will be going in for a service soon but wanted to see if anyone had any idea beforehand. Thanks! VID-20250529-WA0011_1.mp4
cliffcoggin Posted June 3 Posted June 3 It's likely to be a worn rubber bush in one of the suspension or steering links. 1
NateJ95 Posted June 3 Author Posted June 3 Thanks for the quick response! I was suspecting a worn rubber bush or but always worry it might be more (praying its not!). There's no leaking fluid anyway but I will update as soon as I get it looked at.
Solution NateJ95 Posted Friday at 12:46 PM Author Solution Posted Friday at 12:46 PM Sorry for the delay everyone, had to wait to get a service date, had it in yesterday, techs have said the sound is coming from the way the brakes are worn and suspension itself is fine (first time I have heard that...)
Steve Q Posted Friday at 03:48 PM Posted Friday at 03:48 PM That's a new one on me. Glad you got sorted.

So what did they do to the brakes, and has it cured the noise?
NateJ95 Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago So I am not hearing the noise as much now, not 100% sure if they just applied some from of lubrication onto the brakes (or onto the bushes etc if they were bs'ing etc), the only thing they mentioned from the health check I got was that eventually over the next while the pads need to be done but from checking they still have a good bit left on them so honestly its the first time like Steve has mentioned I have ever heard that.
cliffcoggin Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Hmm, I'm not convinced, but I guess we'll never know for certain.
