Just be careful - they can be slippery in the wet, but handy to put under a wheel if you get caught in the snow!

Thats good to know thank you. Would you go for genuine Audi ones or another brand that fits? There are quite a few to choose from on Ebay

Hello Jill,

If it were mine, I’d shop around for non-Audi ones, many of which have ‘cut lines’ to allow trimming to fit (if necessary). Your card will very much appreciate you staying away from Audi.

Regards,

Gareth.

Hi Gareth. thanks for your advice. I've now purchased non-Audi mats that state they are a fit for the Audi A3 (and can be returned if not). You are correct about the price...£39 for 4 mats, with the Audi ones coming in around £50+ for just 2!

If they are any good I'll post the link to where I purchased.

I always fancied a set from ' whipmats '

With the diamond stitching.   I've added to cart 3 times, but never pressed the pay button . 😂😂😂

So the mats I purchased were very good but didn't fit my Audi. I think becasue mine is automatic it needs different shape. Here are the correct one I found but still expensive   https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/236373648451

Does anyone know others that would fit before I bite the bullet and buy these ?

Thanks

Hello Jill,

Worth checking the price of the same item at Audi Parts Direct at Cardiff - part of Mon Motors.

Think Lidl have rubber ones very cheaply - may be able to cut to size - ?

Gareth.

Thanks gareth. Mons Motors are even more expensive, though they are open to offers. Will have a look next time Lidl have them in.

That's a good idea Gareth, why did I not think of that 🤦‍♂️

I've been running rubber mats for years and work in some remote places.

I personally put universal rubber mats over carpet mats that often come standard with the car. For extra cushioning is my theory. Plus working on a farm I need the rubber ones.

These sell a set of 4 For under £30. I bought a set for my mercedes GLC . Fitted a treat tbh.

Hmm. Perhaps Steve you'd be better off with a Massey Ferguson than an Audi.

Very big grin.

Haha, thankfully I don't have much dealings with the tractors. I work at a skills centre for adults with learning disabilities so we teach animal care skills, horticulture skills, woodworking skills, cooking skills, plus make things to sell at a local garden centre also owned by the farm owners.

So I purchased original Audi mats...set of four and glad I did. Perfect fit and look great. All weather ones. Probably last as long as the car so worth it. Got from https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/audisytner  were the cheapest for the genuine Audi ones. Look greyish in picture but are actually lovely matt black...no rubber smell.

They look great . The ones I bought off eBay stunk like cigarette butts.
