Can anyone advise on how to deal with a dreadful Audi dealership. I have tried involving Audi UK Customer support and this does not seem to have worked. I keep having to take my car back for repairs that I am assured have been rectified. As an example been back four times for an oil leak into the cylinder head, causing miss firing and even resulted in blowing one of the coils. I have now had to take it back for a rattle coming from the rear. First time technician could not hear or find the rattle. I had to get him to sit in the car while I drove and he could clearly hear it. Had to wait weeks to get it booked in again. Told the fault was from the exhaust, picked it up only to find the rattle had not been fixed. I had to get senior technician to sit in car and he could hear the rattle had not been fixed yet again. It is now back in the garage yet again. I am so totally disheartened by my experience

Welcome to the forum Graeme :)

You'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :)

Sorry to hear you're having a bad experience with your local Audi dealer. If it were me I'd be leaving my car with Audi and having g a courtesy car and not return it untill the faults are sorted. Then you have leverage because I assure you they'll want the courtesy car back as soon as possible.

If you are not having h much look with Audi customer services tell them that you'll take your complaints to another party. Such as trading standards (if applicable) or you could contact auto express magazine. They often have features of poor experiences of customers at main dealers. You could see if they are willing to investigate your complaint?

Sorry I can't help more

Cheers

Steve,

cheers for you help. Edinburgh Audi are the worst garage I have ever dealt with. Technicians are useless

I think you'd also be better off using an Audi specialist or VAG specialist. With these you get knowledgeable people for a specific brand as as them usually using genuine parts but fitting them and diagnosing problems cheaper than the main dealer

Hello Graeme,

I notice the car is 6 years old and as such is likely to be out of even an extended warranty involving Audi direct, so I take it your discontent is a direct "local " dispute with Edinburgh Audi.

Could you let us know if this work is being complained about because you have paid them to rectify the fault/s and they haven't, or is the car under some sort of warranty with them? Have you bought the car from them in the recent past (unlikely due to its age?) and they are failing to honour a guarantee that came with that sale?

Perhaps you could let us know and I'm sure others may be able to add to Steve's advice.

Kind regards,

Gareth.

p.s. Not sure about your thread heading of Mr ?  Probably best to get this altered to a more meaningful description which might result in more responses.

No doubt Admin can help you with this.
