OK Paul, You have had suggestions of what to do to progress this issue and we given you contacts to approach who might help you. I appears, in your opinion, that whatever help you have been given has been inadequate - possibly since you are not hearing proof positive that the new part is faulty. It would also appear that you are getting towards loggerheads with Lookers. So perhaps it is best that we too state that ‘we are out’ as well. You can help some, but it gets difficult to help those who just want confirmation that they are correct . They may be, but not always. Good luck in sorting it out to your satisfaction.
  2. Pleasure Glyn. We look forward to hearing of the outcome.

Hello Paul, A simple point, but the replaced bag would now be 6 months out of its 1 year warranty, so…. So is it/isn’t the offender? We cannot know because we don’t have access to the vehicle, but it’s surprising how many replacement parts aren’t of sufficient quality to survive beyond the warranty period. Some of the Range Rover models use air suspension systems, so might be well worth your while to search out and tap into experience there. Another alternative would be to seek advice from Bagpipingandy (Ebay and probably website) - obviously north of the border. This is one of the most experienced pioneering chaps on all things air suspension. Please let us know how you get on Paul. Regards, Gareth.

Non-manual choke? If so, could be the cold start/ coolant temperature sender which is at fault. This would be the sender which assesses the coolant temperature and signals the degree of fuel enrichment required. Regards, Gareth.
  5. Thanks Glyn, I always re- check the oil level on level ground, the morning after the oil is changed. It’s surprising how long it takes for all (in caps) the added oil to get down to the sump. Too late now, but……. If it were mine:- (1) Check the oil level (on level ground) before start up tomorrow morning. (2) If it is above the line, get an accurate mm rule and measure exactly how much above the line it actually is. (3) Check again after 300 miles or 3 weeks and see how much it has increased. If it has then proved to have risen, it could be due to oil dilution with diesel. Please let us know how you get on Glyn. Regards, Gareth.
  6. Hello Alan, If it were mine:- (1) Call in to your nearest main dealer’s Parts Dept. and enquire about the price and availability there. ( are there any electrical connectors very near/within this T piece? by the way?). (2) If they won’t give you the part number - which is quite likely - have a look on LLL Parts website, and you may find it there. (3) Thoroughly search EBay and EBay International to see if you can find one on there. (4) Register your ‘want’ with on-line car breaker link sites. Partsfinder is one of many. Please let us know how you get on. Regards, Gareth.
  7. Fair do’s as we say in these parts Glyn, you seem to be a man of few words, and the details are dribbling through like a dripping tap! Questions:- When ‘filled to the mark’ during the oil change, how soon after was that level confirmed to be at the mark? How much is it now above the mark?
  8. Thanks Alan, so is Audi’s £300 for supply and fit or supply only? Regards, Gareth.
  9. Welcome Martin, and thanks for joining. Regards, Gareth.
  10. Saying it as I see it Glyn, I feel like the vet trying to diagnose what is wrong with the dog. We really do strive to be helpful, and unlike solicitors, we don’t charge by the word - we don’t charge at all, so how about sitting down for 15 mins and compiling a bit of a story about the problem-? Regards, Gareth.
  11. Does that mean it uses a reservoir full of coolant in 2 to 2.5 K miles?
  12. Any progress Alan?
  13. Hello Jax, Taking it you are DIYing this service -? If so what brand and grade oil are you using, and what brands of oil, air and pollen filters? Current mileage and when last serviced? Regards, Gareth.
  14. Hello Naresh, You don’t tell us how much coolant you are losing in x miles, so no one can logically advise you. Regards, Gareth.

Many thanks for the many thanks Graham. Is there any reason for not being able to answer the pre-trial question?
  16. Well Ruby, trying to sort it out rather than getting your trusted car dealer friend to sort it, must obviously be your choice. I think if I was the ‘dealer friend’ I would at least want to know about it, and be offered an opportunity to be involved in sorting it out, but….. Regards, Gareth.
  17. Welcome Ruby and sorry to hear of your issue. Did you buy it from a dealer? If so, you need to return it without fiddling with it. It should not be for you to sort it out. Regards, Gareth.
  18. Sorry Kev, so it is. Too hot today.
  19. Thanks Kev. Could you list what price you want for it? Regards, Gareth.

Thanks Graham, but if you could answer the questions, and do the trial then it would help - otherwise you are going to get as many suggestions as the people you ask.
  21. Who are the actual insurers for your brokerage Dan? Regards, Gareth.

Welcome Graham, A couple of questions/observations:- Any undue vibrations through steering or pedal when braking on right hand curves? Turning right and offside, seems strange - would be easier to explain if it was N/s. Have you tried testing the car in a large area where you can do continuous anti-clockwise circles at full lock for a few minutes, then checking for heat differences on both discs? Regards, Gareth.
  23. Welcome Jeffrey, Sounds good. If it were mine, I would now treat it to a full service so you have a basing point to move forward from. If you need any advice on parts (brands) and where to get them, then please let us know. Regards, Gareth.
  24. Hello Paul, Work on the principle that if you have checked all alternatives without solution, then you have to suspect the replaced component. In decades gone by, an unthinkable possibility. Regrettably now only too common a possibility. Kind regards, Gareth.
