New SQ5 Advice
Lee. You may have been told about the routine services that the vendor has done, but only a full service history from Audi, printed not verbal, will reveal any repairs or other miscellaneous work that has been done to the car. Surely you want to know about that before handing over cash?

New SQ5 Advice
Being told it has just been serviced would not satisfy me. I would want a print of the full service history which Audi will be able to supply. If that does not meet the requirements of the service schedule I would walk away from the car.

Heated wing mirrors
That's good to know.

Heated wing mirrors
Sam. Does that mean the new controller switch that was fitted a few months ago failed to solve the problem, and hence was a waste of money?

Sockets in front not working
I would be surprised if so many circuits were protected by the same fuse, especially circuits with such disparate functions, though I don't know this for a fact. Years ago there would be less than a dozen fuses in total on a car. Nowadays the general principle is one fuse per function leading to 30 or more fuses in two or three fuseboxes. A far more sensible arrangement.

Audi A3 Cabriolet 1.2 tfsi Car going into limp mode
A defective battery will cause a variety of operational faults and false error codes because the car's electronics are so sensitive. Get the battery professionally tested as a first step in the diagnosis, and let us know the result. If it proves to be faulty and has to be renewed ensure it is coded to the car else you will ruin it. Let's hope you did not waste your money on the turbo.

Audi A3 Cabriolet 1.2 tfsi Car going into limp mode
Intermittent limp mode is one of the symptoms of a defective battery. How old is it?

Hesitant accelerator and gearshift holding
As the car is only two years old and still under gaurantee, you should not need to trawl the internet for a solution. You are entitled to a fix from Audi. It's true that most of us here have little faith in Audi dealers, but that should not stop you trying a different one. Better still try an independant VAG specialist which will have more interest in providing a good service, though I'd advise notifying your dealer of your intention and a possible charge against him.

Hesitant accelerator and gearshift holding
Ken. Was the comment of any use to you? Have you progressed the matter? The forum is supposed to provide a two way exchange of information.

Timer Belt Failure at 54k miles
Paul. Don't be too lavish with praise for Mercedes. It has joined the club of manufacturers throwing their customers under a bus. By the way, it is a timing belt, not a timer belt.

Constant drain on my battery over night
Danny. If that is a true reading, although it does seem very low, I suggest the battery is clapped out because of an internal fault. It would be wise to get it professionally tested before splashing out cash on a new battery and ensure you get it coded to the car.

Constant drain on my battery over night
How large is the overnight drain? A few dozen milliamps is normal. Have you any fitted any extra electrical equipment such as dashcam or satnav that may not be controlled by the ignition switch? If so, disconnect them and measure the drain again.

Best timing belt kit??
I am a little puzzled by this topic. Are you buying a new water pump & timing belt because the cabin heater is not working?

Random misfire, intermittent hard start
Matthew. Not casting aspersions on your particular code reader, but many are incapable of correctly reading Audi codes. It may pay you to get it done professionally, or to get a OBD11 reader which seems to be successful amongst knowledgable users here.

Knocking when turning at low speed
Well it's progress of a sort. I hope it won't be long until the appointment.

Brian was that done at no cost under the guarantee?

'Whup' Noise from air suspension
Stephan. You won't get a reply from Rolling Steve. He has not been back to the forum since he wrote his question. You would do better to create your own topic in the hope that it might be answered by others.

SQ7 AdBlue fault "reductant quality performance"
Do you often allow the battery to go flat? That alone might be responsible for the error message.

EGR BLANKING PLATE SIZE
Glen. Relax, it does not refer to you. The comment above by Magnet was addressed to a post, which you can not see because it has been hidden, by a member calling himself Personal Opinion.

New head lights not working
James. I aplogise for the language and tone of the previous post. I have penalised the person concerned for that, and will hide all his posts.

EGR BLANKING PLATE SIZE
PO. The question was about the size of the blanking plate not where to buy exhaust pipes. By the way, it is a requirement to show an approximate location in your profile. Please amend it to show at least what county you are in.

Steering wheel amber light
I have not done it myself, but anywhere that has a decent diagnostic device should be able to do it. That does not include the cheap code readers that most folk have at home.

Newbie Advice
It's not you. The abandonment of proper road maintenance is a well recognised fact amongst all motorists, except perhaps in Wales. Whenever I cross the border from England the road surfaces instantly change to a higher standard.

Steering wheel amber light
Possibly related to your other topic regarding the radio. Also please confirm you have had the new battery coded to the car.
