  1. Has it come with a spare key, if so try it either that first. As it could be an issue with the key (most likely) or an issue with the receiver. If bought from a dealer in the last 30 days then the supplying dealer should fix this FOC.
  2. I'd recommend you speak to other remappers such as revo, darkside developments, Celtic tuning as example.
  3. Speaking from an owner from a similar aged Audi (A6 C5) Interior trim is hard to come by and some external trim is becoming short supply. Service history is key and make sure there's no smell of damp ect of water ingress. Check footwells for damp carpets. Make sure all electronic items work as they can be expensive to change.
  4. You can get the adblue system and egr mapped out with a remap I believe. Just bare in mind any not tester that believes you've tampered with the emissions system of the vehicle can report you. But if done by a remap and the hardware still in place like the egr then they'd have no reason to believe it's been deactivated if you see what I mean
  5. Thanks for the links Kev. Annoyingly last week I discovered from my mechanic that if I buy any 2.5tdi engine and keep my current injection pump and ECU the car will think the replacement engine is the original and will run. Wish I'd known that a year ago instead of worrying about coding of injection pumps and imobilisers etc. So my simplest option is to find a bau version of the 2.5tdi as this was the last variation of that engine and most refined in theory. Trying to find one with low miles and proven service history, but naturally this is proving difficult.
  6. Sorry Gareth, I was just questioning what the interval would be as it's an 8 year old car, and I thought it's usually 5 years or 120k, but I could be wrong and it could have already been done previously.
  7. I'd suspect it's a one piece. I'd recommend looking on eBay for A5 door trim.
  8. From looking online this spec is very rare. I'd estimate it's worth between 2-3k.
  9. Sorry this hasn't been responded to yet. Your list of what you plan to do is fantastic. And should give you peace of mind. When is the Cambelt and water pump needs changing? If you're concerned about any hidden nasties then you could look at getting a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. I've heard nothing but good things about Autologics as other members have used them and been pleased with their service.
  10. Kev, is one who likes to save old old audis on here.
  11. Make a note of the code but clear it and see if it comes back over the next week. You have 30 days from the day of sake for a full refund or for the garage to fix it FOC if there's an issue.
  12. Any documented proof of cambelt and water pump change and gearbox services. Check YouTube for buyers guides.
  13. Need to know spec and gearbox option etc. I'd recommend finding 3 similar cars from the same year and send them to your insurance company as evidence of what it'll cost you to replace the car with a similar or like for like.
  14. Glad you got sorted 🙂 If it's any consolation I get my wife to take her jaguar to have her xe adblue topped up, as jags are known for adblue system issues. This has saved us twice when the system has gone faulty and they've had to drain the tank, reset the sensor and top it back up FOC twice. My rationale is, if they do it then we can't be blamed for it being over filled or wrong adblue fluid added etc.
  15. Correct it can only be done by main dealer. Expect to Psy £500
  16. In theory the bumper should fit.
  17. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  18. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 air suspension problems are well documented and can be costly to repair
  19. Could be or would it be an ECU issue?
