If it happened 3 years ago and not since then I wouldn't be worrying about it. As a rule of thumb no 4x4 should be driven in constant 4 wheel drive on tarmac as it can prematurely wear out the diff, gearbox, driveshafts etc.

I've always left cars in gear when I park, made that mistake with my old ford escort. Didn't realise it can damage components.

I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Well done for changing the aerial as that's often the route cause.
