  1. I'd recommend watching YouTube buyers guides. We've sent issues with the A7 hybrid alternators, I appreciate this is a sq5 but it'll be similar technology:
  2. The old interval was 5 years or 120k miles which ever comes first I believe. However Audi changed this to no time frame. I wouldn't risk it over 5 years with a belt in my opinion.
  3. Itl need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. The airbag warning light could just be due to a loose airbag wire under the passenger seat.
  4. The 1.4 petrol is known for fuel rail issues. Not too much about the 1.0.
  5. Yep I appreciate that, but if both sensors are working and picking up a fault between them then the natural assumption will get the cat. Hence why the car believes it's the cat. Feel free to change the other sensor and let us know the outcome.
  6. I'd check eBay there's a some on there.
  7. You're welcome 🙂
  8. What's the source? Have you looked at buyers guides on YouTube? Worth a watch if not.
  9. Alternatively change the other oxygen sensor to see if it helps. But you might be wasting money if the diagnostic test has said it's the cat.
  10. What if you change the cat?
  11. Definitely go for petrol in my opinion.
  12. Id recommend getting the car in for a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. On my daily (ford Kuga) that has a dab radio I find on frosty days the signal is worse or non existent for some reason
  13. You're welcome. How many miles? And is it town or motorway miles etc.
  14. To be fair, there's been a lot of confusion around it.
  15. Really glad this thread and forum helped 🙂 it's feedback like this which is greatly appreciated ☺️
  16. You'll have to keep chasing them I suspect. The Audi parts department should be able to tell you what it's listed as.
  17. Glad it's all sorted 🙂
  18. Think it'll need calibrating.
  19. Think the car tax changed only affect new cars I understand. But happily proven wrong. As Cliff has said service history is key. Proof of cambelt and water pump changes should be seen on cars of that age plus proof of gearbox oil changes etc. Dpf and egr can fail on diesels and are £1k plus bills. The amount of mileage and type of mileage will determine whether petrol or diesel is better for you.
  20. Key coding needs to be done by Audi or a auto locksmith. Search for ones locally.
  21. Not sure but I think it applies to any where you can change driving modes.
  22. Keep us posted on how you get on
  23. Definitely could be a leaking airbag. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up
  24. Keep us posted on how you get on. If they confirm the car hasn't got b&o I doubt they'll retrofit it as Audi don't do retrofits. Your only option would be to reject the vehicle.
  25. Like you I'd suspect the switch.
