It's a 2019 car. Lifelong servicing is 20k or 2 years which ever comes first. So this Audi should have had a service in 2021, then in 2023. And now this 3rd one in 2025.
Not to mention brake fluid should be changed ever 2 years too.
If this car has only just had it's first service definitely avoid.
They should be able to tell you if it's had all its services as it'll be digitally stored if serviced at an approved dealer. Not telling you the history is an odd one.
I think wait to see what the Audi service centre says but I won't be surprised if they try and quote you for a new gearbox. If this is the case then it'd be worth searching for a 2nd hand one. You'll need one with the same part number/name as yours.
If the gearbox hasn't been serviced there could be something internally wrong with it.
The other thing that can go wrong is the megatronics unit but I don't think it'd be that in this case due to the gearbox oil not being changed but the previous owner etc.
Will keep you posted. Under the 30 day warranty it's already had a clutch, slave cylinder, headlight and electric window switch. It's a 2011 Hyundai i30. It now needs a replacement gearbox!
It is for enthusiasts and your input is very much valued. Funnily enough I'm going through a similar situation, helping a friend who's just purchased a car from a car supermarket. They claimed to have done a minor service but yet haven't proven this, despite Asking for proof. I think following your situation a major service I think is in order. It'll be interesting to see the oil filter on this car.
Check service history and buyers guides. They're expensive cars to maintain. Issues with dpf filters, egr valves, injectors, air suspension, gearbox issues are all documented. Make sure everything works.
