  1. Good plan, I'm still surprised the previous owner didn't code the battery.
  2. I'd get the battery coded first of all as the mmi might have gone into a safe mode for security. Whilst the diagnostic Machine is plug in you may as well see what fault codes flag up. As you may find the mmi needs a reset or has failed. If it does boot up but you haven't got a code Audi can supply you with one. Regarding the gearbox when was the oil last changed? The CVT boxes aren't the strongest but if you check the codes for the mmi issue then you might find a fault with the gearbox. As it could be a module.
  3. You could look at upgraded hoses (silicone) and regarding the limp mode I'd be getting a diagnostic check. Was the remap done on a rolling road or just via a computer on your drive?
  4. Ford did the same in the 70s with the pinto or similar in the US. Along with Chevrolet with the corvair in the 60s.
  5. You're welcome 🙂 next show is this Sunday (Jap Vs german) we have a club display and you've be more than welcome to come along and display your car. Have a look under the events section for more info 👍
  6. Sorry you're experiencing these issues. If you bought it on finance you could contact them to explain the issues and say it's not fit for purpose and you want to return it. See what they say. I'm sure when they speak to Audi something will be done then!
  7. That is very surprising!
  8. Glad this forum helped you 🙂
  9. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Nice looking A5 you have there 🙂

  11. Sorry to hear of your situation. Hope you find a job soon 🙂 I'm with Steve on this one and I'd definitely fit the thermostat to see if that cures the issues.
  12. You're most welcome, glad this thread helped 🙂 the most up-to-date part ends in a letter b 👍
  13. If it's roughly the same era then should fit. Your other option is to fit an aftermarket radio. What radio is fitted currently? As the easiest option would be to replace it with the same.
  14. Hope it gets sorted Tony 🙂
  15. Spoke to the event organiser today. Those wishing to display their cars need to arrive no later than 9:30. Looks like it's going to be their biggest show yet!
  16. Make sure you have pictures of the tyres before you send them off. As well as pictures of all the numbers in the side as I'm sure they'll be a batch number or something on them.
  17. A5 kev 🙂 If it were me I'd be looking at sourcing one from eBay. It's amazing how many speakers seem to go on the a5s.
  18. You're welcome, glad we could help 🙂 sorry you'll have to get rid of it.

I'd try Facebook market place or the Q5 Facebook groups 🙂
  21. Please keep us posted on how you get on 🙂 hope you get somewhere with them.
  22. Ah damn. Such a Shame.
  23. You should speak to the company that supplies you the tyres or alternatively Dunlop. However the latter might be a waste of time as they do t seem to care that their tyres are dangerous. You could also speak to trading standards.
  24. Whilst a number of significant ex-factory LMP1 cars have come up for sale recently, notably the large batch of Peugeot 908s sold via BBM Sport, this is the first time that this writer has seen an ex-factory LMP1 Hybrid on the open market. The car is a 2015 Audi R18 e-tron quattro, powered by a 4-litre 550bhp V6 TDI paired in its active career with a 268bhp electric motor that drives the front axle. Audi entered the car into the 4 megajoules class of hybrid output for the 2015 FIA WEC with a car that saw significant aero changes from the previous season, including a lower drag rear end and new sidepods with new radiators to help better cool the engine and hybrid systems. DSC understands that the car is for sale without a functioning hybrid drive. The car for sale is chassis 416, raced in three races of the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship by Audi Sport Team Joest and driven by Lucas di Grassi, Loïc Duval, and Oliver Jarvis. The car raced at the 6 Hours of Fuji, 6 Hours of Shanghai, and the 6 Hours of Bahrain where it finished 4th, 4th, and 6th respectively. The car is being sold via ex Le Mans racer and supercar dealer Joe Macari’s well known showrooms https://www.dailysportscar.com/2022/05/02/2015-audi-r18-e-tron-quattro-to-be-auctioned-next-month.html
  25. Team Rosberg’s Nico Muller claimed his first DTM pole position in nearly two years after beating Grasser Racing rival Mirko Bortolotti in Sunday’s second qualifying session at Portimao. Muller held the top spot for much of the 20-minute pole-shootout in Portugal, grabbing an early edge over his rivals with a time of 1m40.137s in his Audi R8 LMS GT3. Red Bull driver Felipe Fraga briefly deposed Muller with a 1m40.001s flier as the second runs began, highlighting the one-lap pace of his AF Corse-run Ferrari 488 GT3 for the second day in succession. However, it took little time for Muller to regain the initiative, the factory Audi driver setting a blistering time of 1m39.974s on his next flying lap to secure his first pole in the DTM's GT3 era. Bortolotti again opted to complete only a single run in qualifying and jumped to second late on, although the factory Lamborghini driver’s time was slower than his pole-setting lap from Saturday, leaving him two tenths behind Muller in the timesheets. Brazilian racer Fraga was shuffled down to third in the final order, albeit just 0.010s behind Bortolotti, while Sheldon van der Linde finished another 0.001s adrift in fourth in his Schubert Motorsport BMW M4. Saturday race winner Lucas Auer was Mercedes’ top qualifier in fifth, setting a time of 1m40.055s in his Winward AMG GT3 ahead of the similar machine of HRT driver Luca Stolz - who coincidentally finished second behind Auer in the opening race of the weekend. Auer will carry 25kg of additional weight on his Mercedes in the race as part of the DTM’s updated success ballast rules, with Stolz and Bortolotti hobbled by 15kg and 5kg in extra weight respectively. Two-time DTM champion Marco Wittmann put on a much stronger performance in qualifying on Sunday, putting his Walkenhorst BMW seventh on the grid ahead of Abt Sportsline Audi duo Kelvin van der Linde and Ricardo Feller. The top 10 was rounded out by reigning champion Maximilian Gotz, who has switched to the Winward Mercedes team this year after winning the 2021 title with Hubert Haupt’s HRT outfit. SSR Performance’s Laurens Vanthoor was the top Porsche driver on the grid in 11th in an ultra-competitive session where 15 out of 29 drivers were separated by just half a second, and the entire field but Alessio Deledda separated by two seconds. After retiring from Saturday’s race due to contact at the restart, Abt Audi DTM star Rene Rast qualified 13th with a time of 1m40.283s, just fractionally ahead of the slowest Audi of Attempto driver Marius Zug. Nicki Thiim, who qualified fifth on his DTM debut on Saturday, struggled for pace on Sunday and ended up a distant 20th on the grid in his T3 Motorsport Lamborghini. Nine-time World Rally champion Sebastien Loeb was also unable to replicate his pace from Saturday and will line up 27th on the grid in his AlphaTauri-sponsored AF Corse Ferrari, only ahead of the Lamborghinis of Esmee Hawkey and Deledda. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.motorsport.com/dtm/news/portimao-muller-audi-pole-bortolotti/10254467/amp/
