  1. My advice would be to look for Audi retro fit companies on Google. Light retro fit for example. Not that ive ever used them.
  2. Was the car a taxi at some point? As a lot of taxis have recording equipment fitted.
  3. I think it'll be the contacts or actuator. It'll definitely be because of the water.
  4. The only thing I can think is start stop reduces the vehicle tax.
  5. Dont believe you're the only one: https://www.audiforums.com/forum/audi-q5-76/audi-q5-rear-window-spontaneously-exploded-213127/ https://www.myaudiq5.com/threads/2016-sq5-rear-window-just-shattered.37562/
  6. If it's a manual that sounds expensive. Even if the duel mass flywheel has to be changed at the same time. If it's auto then it'll be a torque converter or a fault with gearbox itself.
  7. I actually haven't heard the term before either. I can only assume it means optional? Why someone would spec start stop though is beyond me
  8. Sounds like you might need a replacement stalk.
  9. So it does! Hadn't noticed that. But bare in mind the model of hiace you're referring to is still in production 😉
  10. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch ☺️ if you search b7 buyers guide on YouTube you'll fi d a few videos worth watching 👍
  11. I thought I'd done one.
  12. They're reasonably priced but they're expensive to maintain. Especially the air suspension
  13. What do you think?
  14. Definitely doesn't sound small. Removing a dash and replacing a heater matrix would take 3 days.... Confidence definitely lost and rightly so. On the other hand the parts being replaced should last longer then the time you'll probably have it if that makes sense
  15. Thanks Trevor, hope you and your family had a great Christmas ☃️ 🎄
  16. You know me Trevor, even though an alroad makes sense. I'd have to do it in my a6 for the nostalgia, stupidity, sentimentality etc. That sounds cracking trip. I did do parts of route 66 in a convertible mustang back in 2018 in Nevada & Arizona and it was amazing.
  17. This isn't right and I find it worrying a car with that few miles needs a rear diff etc. It makes me wonder whst tyres are fitted and what tread the tyres have as mismatched tyres or uneven tyre wear can damage the quattro system. Also you are entitled to a full day refund up to 30 days after sale.
  18. P2100 appears to be a common problem. Here's a thread on how to fix it: https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/throttle-body-inlet-manifold-flap-p2100-p2101-p2102-error-remedy.244930/
  19. I find ebay parts finder hit and miss as not all sellers add a part number in their listing. As is the case with the inlet manifold i found. The seller had put the part number in the listing instead
  20. Thank you, hope you had a good Christmas 🎄⛄ That's probably why it's different because it's from an a5. Doesn't mean it won't work though 😉 I'm assuming the seeker assured you it'll work on your a3?
  21. Most definitely! Over priced milk floats.
  22. It can be normal. If you have service plan then sometimes the batteries are free. There are plenty of videos on YouTube on how to change them.
  23. Thank you 🙂 no probs at all, glad I could help. Apologies I didn't respond yesterday but Christmas was busy. Fingers crossed the part works for you, please keep us posted.
  24. I can highly recommend powerflow exhausts. My brother and friend have had them. You'd be looking around £450-£550 as an estimate.
  25. Here's the Part number for the inlet manifold: 06L 133 201 S. and the link on ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-A3-8V-A4-8W-A6-4G-1-8-TFSI-Inlet-Manifold-Bridge-06L133201S-/255232210028?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=5282-175127-2357-0 I believe this is the part for the sensor: 81215-BGIIC-00ABF and link for it on ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Inlet-Manifold-Sensor-MAP-FOR-AUDI-A3-8V-1-8-2-0-2-5-12-ON-SMP-/313684661967?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 hope this helps 🙂 merry Christmas
