Audi A5 Radio Unit replacement at home?
Yep it'll need programming to the car. I guess the cheaper alternative is an aftermarket upgrade. The prices of the genuine headunits is ridiculous.

bought an audi a3 today
You'll need to get it activated at Audi. Expect to pay around ยฃ500.

What towbar do I go for???
I guess the ยฃ500 is like your standard aftermarket towbar which have been perfectly adequate for years. The.key questions you need to get answered is whether it's a fixed or detachable towbar. As well as if it's a swan neck type etc. I believe the genuine Audi ones are made by westfalia.

Deadlocked car (audi a4 1.9 tdi)
You might need to get an auto electrican or key specialist out. If the car has immobilised itself then it definitely needs a specialist

Parts needed
Hi Luke, might be worth you putting a want ad on 24/7 spares. I know how hard it is to source parts for older Audi's. I'm having similar problems with getting parts for my c5.

Have you checked to see if there's a wire loose under the passenger seat as this used to be quite a common issue on VAG cars.

Emissions
Is it the ea189 recall? If so my advice would be to get the car remapped to get rid of the software update they've done. If it is this recall it's because of the emissions scandal. Some engines were just a software update whereas others had a software update plus an additional bit added to the engine either in the air intake or turbo. I worked at Volkswagen service department when these recalls were done daily. I certainly wouldn't recommend this recall on any VAG car. Here's a long thread about it:

Adjustable front central arm rest
Is the s line one different? If so you might need the matching centre console too.

Does anyone know of any reasonably priced accomodation in the New forest? I'm shocked at the increased price of hotels.

2013 A7 Timing Chain
Gutted for him. Is it worth him keeping the car after the job has been done so he gets the benefit from it? Or trade it in as is?

FOG LIGHT HOUSING
I'm surprised Audi or euro car parts don't. My first go to in these situations is eBay even if they're second hand.

All proceeds go towards SSAFA the armed forces charity. There's trade stands and trophies for show n shine as well as best club stand etc.
