  1. Yep it'll need programming to the car. I guess the cheaper alternative is an aftermarket upgrade. The prices of the genuine headunits is ridiculous.
  2. Has the garage looked at the spark plugs, coil packs, maf, camshaft sensors ect. These links might help: https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/1-8-tfsi-error-code-p0304-misfire-p130a-cylinder-disabling.224701/ https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/a3-1-4-tfsi-2013-cylinder-2-4-misfire-please-help.400579/
  3. You'll need to get it activated at Audi. Expect to pay around ยฃ500.
  4. I guess the ยฃ500 is like your standard aftermarket towbar which have been perfectly adequate for years. The.key questions you need to get answered is whether it's a fixed or detachable towbar. As well as if it's a swan neck type etc. I believe the genuine Audi ones are made by westfalia.
  5. You might need to get an auto electrican or key specialist out. If the car has immobilised itself then it definitely needs a specialist
  6. Hi Luke, might be worth you putting a want ad on 24/7 spares. I know how hard it is to source parts for older Audi's. I'm having similar problems with getting parts for my c5.

Have you checked to see if there's a wire loose under the passenger seat as this used to be quite a common issue on VAG cars.

Is it the ea189 recall? If so my advice would be to get the car remapped to get rid of the software update they've done. If it is this recall it's because of the emissions scandal. Some engines were just a software update whereas others had a software update plus an additional bit added to the engine either in the air intake or turbo. I worked at Volkswagen service department when these recalls were done daily. I certainly wouldn't recommend this recall on any VAG car. Here's a long thread about it:
  9. Is the s line one different? If so you might need the matching centre console too.
  10. Does anyone know of any reasonably priced accomodation in the New forest? I'm shocked at the increased price of hotels.
  11. Steve Q replied to Steve790's topic in Audi RS Club
Yea it could be if as remaps can put additional stress on wearing/weak components.
  12. Can you just replace the dial? I thought it's a complete unit. You should be able to get a used replacement from ebay.
  13. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch ๐Ÿ™‚ Looks a nice A3 ๐Ÿ‘

Could be the antenna. A diagnostic check should identify the problem.
  15. Gutted for him. Is it worth him keeping the car after the job has been done so he gets the benefit from it? Or trade it in as is?
  16. Steve Q replied to Steve790's topic in Audi RS Club
    No probs at all.
  17. Sorry to hear of your situation. Hope your son didnt get stung and it's just coincidence.
  18. I'd recommend a diagnostic check. Hesitation could be turbo as a long shot. Is it auto or manual?
  19. I'm surprised Audi or euro car parts don't. My first go to in these situations is eBay even if they're second hand.
  20. Is the car retaining fluids?
  21. So I've spoken to the organisers, it's a turn up on the gate job. There's currently 5 of us going. Jack and I with Audi's and my brother with a couple of his mates all with Jap cars. All proceeds go towards SSAFA the armed forces charity. There's trade stands and trophies for show n shine as well as best club stand etc.
  22. That's great to hear ๐Ÿ˜Š would love to see a write up of your trip ๐Ÿ™‚
  23. Nice mod ๐Ÿ‘
  24. FOD
