Have you checked to see if there's a wire loose under the passenger seat as this used to be quite a common issue on VAG cars.

Is it the ea189 recall? If so my advice would be to get the car remapped to get rid of the software update they've done. If it is this recall it's because of the emissions scandal. Some engines were just a software update whereas others had a software update plus an additional bit added to the engine either in the air intake or turbo. I worked at Volkswagen service department when these recalls were done daily. I certainly wouldn't recommend this recall on any VAG car. Here's a long thread about it:

Yea it could be if as remaps can put additional stress on wearing/weak components.

Can you just replace the dial? I thought it's a complete unit. You should be able to get a used replacement from ebay.

I'd recommend a diagnostic check. Hesitation could be turbo as a long shot. Is it auto or manual?

I'm surprised Audi or euro car parts don't. My first go to in these situations is eBay even if they're second hand.

So I've spoken to the organisers, it's a turn up on the gate job. There's currently 5 of us going. Jack and I with Audi's and my brother with a couple of his mates all with Jap cars. All proceeds go towards SSAFA the armed forces charity. There's trade stands and trophies for show n shine as well as best club stand etc.

Have you got wet carpets? I believe a sign of a wet ccm can failed interior lights.

I'd definitely try eBay.

This was the same problem on the A6 c5 so I know how you feel.

Morning all, had a calamity this morning and broke the glovebox hinge clean off the lid. Needless to say I'm needing a replacement in this colour if anyone knows of one that'd be great (best pic I've got currently). I've tried eBay with no luck so far. And the garage are trying Audi. Thanks in advance 🙂
