  1. My advice would be to search for local Audi retrofitters on Google or try the same search on Facebook as a lot of retrofitters advertise their work on there 🙂
  2. That's brilliant 🤣 think you've got the nail on the head with their descriptions 😂
  3. You'll feel more response from.the 40. I'm surprised they're priced similarly when there's a different engine. Is it the same spec. Yes you could get it remapped but this will be around £300. Might be worth going for the 40 if price is so close as apposed to going for a less powerful car to remap it. Plus remapping it, you'll have to notify your insurance company as it's classes as a modification. And it'll be harder to sell on to people who want a standard car. These are things for thought
  4. Living in the county I do t know if I agree with this, but I'll admit the tourist attractions are good https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/news/local-news/leicestershires-answer-route-66-places-5432272
  5. That's good tax for the merc, but wegss the tax for the new Audi? and I agree about mercs fake leather. You can't beat the real thing. I only ever drove the previous a class and preferred it over the a3 In my opinion.as I felrt the interior was nicer. My dad had an 8v abd felt the interior was bland compared to the merc. Sorry I can't comment on performance or specifics as both the 8v and merc I've driven were not sporty models though).
  6. Can't speak for the new a3, but usually what ever the manufacturer quotes for fuel consumption you can take at least 10mpg off that.
  7. Glad you've narrowed it down 🙂
  8. Exciting stuff! Keep.us posted on how you get on buddy 🙂
  9. No I don't unfortunately, abd I did do a Google search and search through the forums. As it seems to be a wiring issue, it's worth checking all of it both sides just in case there's signs of potential issues with other parts of it.
  10. That fits. Here's googles interpretation: OBD Code P2149 - Fuel Injector Group 'B' Supply Voltage Circuit/Open. This OBD-II code is defined as a Fuel Injector Group "B" Supply Voltage Circuit/Open, it is set by the Powertrain Control Module of the vehicle.
  11. So true Gareth. I'm sure it would make interesting reading!
  12. Apologies hasn't realised it was generic. Should have put my glasses on to read it properly lol. You could always speak to Audi service department to find out
  13. This type of oil is what you need. Not used it personally though. https://m.autodoc.co.uk/car-parts/gearbox-oil-and-transmission-oil-11915/audi/a5/a5-8t3
  14. I'm lucky I've got a good body shop local. Will have a look at sourcing new doors
  15. No probs, sorry I can't help more
  16. It's the same here in the uk to be honest. I do hope you get to the bottom of it. I would recommend a diagnostic check to see what fault codes flag up
  17. An age-old motoring stereotype might have been laid to rest by government data which shows the types of cars that have been involved in the most crashes on British roads. According to figures from the Department for Transport, the Vauxhall Zafira has been involved in the most accidents, given the number registered on the roads - but the biggest revelation could be found further down the table. The figures have also revealed that BMW drivers have significantly more crashes in the UK than Audi drivers. In fact, the Ingolstadt marque, which pioneered Quattro all-wheel-drive technology and made waves on the world rally scene, emerged as one of the least-crashed cars in Britain, with fewer than 200 accidents for every 10,000 cars on the road. Compare this to BMW drivers, who have something of a reputation for forgetting their indicators, and it has been revealed that fans of the Bavarian brand have been involved in 297 accidents per 10,000 cars registered. The figures, which were gleaned under the Freedom of Information Act by Rivervale Leasing, set out the BMW 3-Series as the fifth most crashed car on UK roads. According to the data 17,215 accidents involved the popular family saloon, and there are 578,674 registered in the UK. Three Vauxhall models top the list - the Zafira, Astra and Corsa came in first, second and fourth place altogether. With 34,300 accidents across all Audi models, and a total of 1,783,064 Audi cars on the road, Audi came in 10th in the list of the 10 most-crashed manufacturers. Vauxhall came out on top, and the next most-crashed brand was Renault. Peugeot came third in the top 10 manufacturers. So it would appear that, statistically speaking, Audi drivers are safer drivers than BMW drivers. Maybe the old BMW indicator jokes weren't so far off the mark after all. 18. Wings are well known problem on vag cars of this era. I need mine looking at again. Yea the doors a worry for me too and dread the thought of getting a replacement door.
  19. I'm sure keys are around £300 from Audi, but that could be a pair. They have to be specially ordered from Germany if I'm not mistaken.
  20. You're welcome, fingers crossed for you 🤞
