  1. Right I'll be attending but not in my Audi as the rear shock sheared from its mounting! This happen right after it was washed, fueled and packed ready to go. So when I meet you I'll be in a blue Ford kuga 66 plate.
  2. Hello all, needing some advice. I've got a knocking noise from the rear (think driverside) does anyone know what it could be? It only happens when moving all the time. I've shook the car up and down and have discounted the springs or shocks. I know I need to get it to a garage but I'm needing the car for simply Audi tommorow and it's going to be a 328 mile round trip. Was driving down tonight and have a hotel booked. Very tempted to call out the AA to take a look for peace of mind. It's a 2002 avant model if that makes any difference.

It's good you've had the car checked but sorry to hear you've not found anything loose under the car. Nect port of call would be to look for anything loose in.the engine bay I think. But it could be a gearbox issue
  4. Think you have to turn it off every time.
  5. 40k sounds about right. Itll be tagged onto a normal service sheet, further down below the usual service. If that makes sense.

It'll be harder to park that's for sure. Sensors would make life easier
  7. Just responded to your other post.
  8. You can retrofit an aux I believe. Not all mmi accept itunes etc. But upgrade to a better mmi can be very expensive. You could always try an fm transmitter. Sure there was a post the other day about them.
  9. It's happening at down south at beaulieu. The ticket to the show gives you access to the museum too. You'd be more than welcome to come a long. Have a look under the events section.
  10. Think you're just going to have to bite the bullet on this one and remove the head. You may as well changed all of the seals for peace of mind and to prolong the cars life.
  11. How long have you had the car? If bought from a dealer within 30 days then they should be fixing it for you. Or you're entitled to a full refund. An aux connector is a good shout.
  12. They should be 16". Here's a link to one: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-A6-C6-2004-2011-SPACE-SAVER-WHEEL-135-80-16-/402634847937?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
  13. Have you looked in those 3 locations? It might have varied depending on year abd spec. Worth looking in those locations first.
  14. Might be worth trying to source one on eBay. I try abd get all car literature from there
  15. I love mine too. Needs a clean ready for simply Audi on Sunday though!
  16. I've responded
  17. It's definitely worth seeing when the gearbox was last serviced and getting it done as a matter of course. She should also get a diagnostic check to see what fault codes flag up. By all means contact the warranty company but more often than not they're not worth the paper they're written on I'm afraid.
  18. My advice would be to get a diagnostic check as it could be a wiring issue or a module issue.
  19. Yep was an option but not a common one.

No brainer for me the 60k mike one.
  21. Very true. Definitely will need to meet in advance.
  22. How did you get on. Did you get one?
