  1. Hi Josh, Sorry to hear of your issue. When was the transfer box last replaced? who fitted it, and was it an Audi product? Cheers Steve
  2. Welcome to the forum Elias, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) You'll definitely see an improvement on acceleration and bhp compared to the 2.0 litre. The tech pack is a personal thing but I know it is very desirable and most that don't get it wish they had. 12 weeks is ages! I bet you'll be watching the build tracker like a hawk! Cheers Steve
  3. Hmm, well £30 is approx half a tank and it's what I do too. I think the sloshing is often caused by the shape of the fuel tank and I don't think there is much that can be done in my opinion. My other advice would be to take it to another Audi dealer to get there opinion on it. Cheers Steve
  4. You're more than welcome to display your a5 with us :) just meet us at either of the meeting points :) Cheers Steve
  5. Now unfortunately I don't have much knowledge of Audi pre 1968 but I'd guess that one of the companies that came together to make auto Union developed the transverse engine?
  6. I know! It's been a nightmare!! But we'll suffer for this nicer weather!!
  7. Hmm, I still think this has something to do with auto Union in some way but I'm guessing it's not them directly if that makes sense.
  8. Glad you got some form.of result Scotty. Have the dealers said they are going to do anything? As I say I've experienced this on full tanks of fuel in mk2 ford kugas. I just don't full up to a full tank very often anyway (long, long journeys only) Cheers Steve
  9. I thought that too but I guess in light of John looking it must be on the left side? Hmm, well all I can think is that it's on the other side of the dash (on the end and on the opposite side to where you've looked) Cheers Steve
  10. Welcome to the forum Richard, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) At a guess could it be the dpf? Cheers Steve
  11. Hi Lee, unfortunately I can't recommend a garage in your area but I think a diagnostic check is worth carrying out. I wonder if it's the pump that's failed or if something is jammed in the mechanism. Cheers Steve
  12. Thought I'd share this image of a fellow members a6 which was shared on the club Facebook page. Needless to say it's not what you expect when you drive your Audi! I'm a bit confused by the front flat tyre though! Cheers Steve
  13. Hi John I believe the fusebox is under the dash in the passenger side footwell. There will be a plastic cover you need to remove. Cheers Steve
  14. Glad you've made progress and let's hope it runs well now :) Cheers Steve
  15. My advice would be to go out on the test drive with the technicians. Also creeking suspension could be down to worn bushes on the upper or lower suspension arms. My dad has had an 8v and I've driven various ones whilst in the motor trade and can never say I've driven one with creeking suspension. Cheers Steve
  16. Was it a mass produced car for the road or was it a race car? I want to say auto Union or NSU but in probably well off!
  17. Welcome to the forum Scotty, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Could the sloshing sound be fuel in the tank? I ask this I've had this experience in a Ford kuga before when I had a full tank. Just seeing if it only happens when your fuel tank is full. Or could there be water in the wheel well? What have Audi said? Cheers Steve
  18. Glad you got sorted Andrew :) all's well that ends well :) Cheers Steve
  19. Welcome to the forum Alf, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) My advice would be to either get a diagnostic check carried out or contact an auto electrician. But you can disconnect the battery first as this may reset the system. The key question you have to ask yourself is why is the TT battery gone flat? (,I'm assuming it's used daily). Cheers Steve
  20. Yep I believe it's standard on all models. Did it not auto lock.on the test drive? If it didn't, Mark is right in saying you can activate the setting through the MMI. Cheers Steve
  21. Obviously your car is at risk but I'd say the risk is low. Better to get it done sooner rather than later. Cheers Steve
  22. Welcome to the forum Scott, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Great list of cars you have and the Sprint blue colour is stunning! Feel free to have a look at our events section, as you'd be more than welcome to display your Audi on the club displays at up and coming shows :) Cheers Steve
