  1. That's interesting Piotr, I never knew that! Cheers Steve
  2. Welcome to the forum Aled, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Bet you can't wait to get your s4! Don't forget to keep an eye on the build tracker :) Cheers Steve
  3. With home ownership you send up living in your money if you see what I mean. The s3 looks great and you'd be more than welcome to display it with the club at any of the up and coming shows :) Cheers Steve
  4. Glad it's passed the Mot :) Forgot you were from Leicester John! We'll have to have an Audi meet at some point :) Cheers Steve
  5. That's great news about the engine :) let's hope Tom sorts the steering and you'll have made great progress :) Would love to see some more pics of the a8 :) Cheers Steve
  6. Yea Audi security is better. The disc lock will fit straight on but I'm wondering if only certain stoplocks fit due to the shape of the airbag on your steering wheel. Cheers Steve
  7. Welcome to the forum Justin, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Yes the bodyshells are the same. However the s3/rs3 have a bigger grill and arches. So they aren't a direct fit. Cheers Steve
  8. Result! Glad you got sorted :) Cheers Steve
  9. Welcome to the forum Damon, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Your Audi dealer is correct and you only get one boot light on your model. I believe you get 2 on the s line model and higher. Unless you had selected the storage pack when you ordered the car, in which case you would have got 2. Cheers Steve
  10. Result! All's well that ends well :)
  11. The 3 types of seats: Se normal style seats S line - more side and leg support S/RS - recaro seats Your model is a c6 which was in production from 2005-2011 C7 is from 2012 onwards My model which is older than yours is a c5 made between 1997-2005. The c4 a6 was made before 1997. Hope that's helped :) Cheers Steve
  12. Hi Simon, In light of your other thread in the new members section I'm guessing your Audi purchase is a done deal :) I have to say your rover looks in good nick :) the a6 will definitely be a change to the metros! Cheers Steve
  13. Welcome to the forum Paul, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Sorry to hear of your spinal injury. The s line seats are a sportier design as apposed to the second seats. The s line seats have more side support and leg support. I think your easiest option would be to get leather electric se seats which will bolt straight in. If you've found these more comfortable then it would make sense as im not 100% sure that a8 seats fit. Cheers Steve
  14. Hi Jamie you'll definitely need the matching ecu for the engine but unsure about the the wiring.loom to be honest. Cheers Steve
  15. Did you find it helped Simon?
  16. Wow, have you met him yet then?! Very nice spec :) Erm well.it depends on the service schedule it had when new. Long life is 2 years/20k or 1 year 10k. If you run Audi they should be able to tell you. To be fair the dealer should know anyway. Cheers Steve
  17. I don't see why windbreaks from 2013 8v onwards wouldn't fit :) my advice would be to look.on ebay :) Cheers Steve
  18. I'm sorry to hear that, I've always found you get better service whilst being in the dealer rather than over the phone.
  19. Trust me Paul I looked at all options and thought I'd play it safe! Believe me I looked at alot of places on the web. It's in nursling on the outskirts of Southampton my thinking being if I did have a fault I could hopefully find a garage to sort me out.
  20. Welcome to the forum, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) I'm assuming you are looking at getting the panel filter rather than the cone filter? If you are trying to increase power then I would advise an engine remap instead as I'll improve bhp and potentially mpg. You'll only gain 5,bhp tops with an uprated panel filter.and slightly improved acceleration (in theory). Obviously if your Q7 is still within warranty than the filter may void this as it's not a genuine Audi component. Obviously the benefit would be that it never has to be replaced and you will get a lifetime warranty. Cheers Steve
  21. Welcome to the forum amark, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) The a6 you are looking at should be ok as it's only covered 9k miles. Luckily the car you're looking at won't be affected by the emissions recll (scandal). Is the a6 for sale at a main dealer? Either way it's worth making sure the car has full service history. Most likely will have had it's first service by now. Cheers Steve
  22. Welcome to the forum Paul, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Truthfully I've not seen any issues with the vag keyless system it seems to be Ford that is affected. For my keyless Ford I have a Faraday pouch which I bought off eBay for 79p and it came from China and it works a treat. A metal.tin does the job just as well. Usually theives will break.ibto your home so in order to steal your keys. (Keyless Fords excluded). With any form of steering locks they will slow down the thief and will make more noise. This therefore acts more of a deterrent, ideally meaning the thief will target a more venerable car. Hope I've helped :) Cheers Steve
