  1. Does sound like it could be the vacuum pump. But the central locking issue could be linked to the drivers door locking mechanism which controls the rest of the central locking. I had a similar issue and it cost me £120 to fix. Cheers Steve
  2. We'll definitely keep an eye out for you 😊 Cheers Steve
  3. I don't think.itll be cheap I think you'll want to factor in £600 but that's a guess. I think you'll need the matching clicks and ecu from the new engine to make it all work as Audi code the clocks, ecu abd engine all to the car. Cheers Steve
  4. Like you I would suspect a wheel bearing Cheers Steve
  5. I've had the exact same issue. Had to have the pollen filter housing replaced. Not the most expensive part to change but definitely should cute the issue. Cheers Steve
  6. Hi Keith, I believe the fogs, wipers and heater fans are all connected to a control module. If the module fails it can stop these systems from working. I'm sure it's called a ccm? It sounds to me an issue with this to be honest. Cheers Steve
  7. Welcome to the forum Tony, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 😊 When I had a similar issue I just replaced like for like as I found it the easiest way. Cheers Steve
  8. Welcome to the forum Paul, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 😊 When I had a similar issue itbwas the drivers door locking mechanism which was at fault. In my case the drivers door mechanism controls the rest of the central locking. My car was repaired by an auto electrician and cost £120. Cheers Steve

Sounds faulty but I'd suspect a loose wire as you can open it from the key. That would indicate to me that the catch itself is working abd would mean the handle mechanism to be at fault. Cheers Steve
  10. Sorry your having Ian, at least they've admitted they're aware of a fault. Have they got back to you yet? I suspect they'll be trying to put off dismantling the engine to be honest. Cheers Steve
  11. Sorry no one got back to you on this. As mentioned you can get space savers and as shown eBay is your best bet. Golf and a3 should be the same. Cheers Steve
  12. Hi Ash, if you bought this from.a dealer then I'd advise you take it back to them to rectify it. Cheers Steve

  14. This does sound like a wiring issue to me or maybe a fusebox issue. I'm guessing you've checked the fuses etc. Cheers Steve

Really keen to get more road trips done this year and next. Hoping to do Scotland's North Coast 500 this year and something more ambitious next year 😊
  20. Looks lovely 😍
  21. Hi James, sorry to hear of your situation but I'd strongly suggest keeping it if you can! If the royal history can be verified then it could be worth up to £4k I think. I know that 2 cabriolets owned by Princess Diana sold for similar money. Cheers Steve
