  1. If definitely get it checked because if there is broken or loose parts in the gearbox then they could be doing more damage. Nice one! 😀 I'll look forward to seeing the pics :)
  2. Hmm, well if it were me I'd still have the a6 but then again technology hasn't bothered me too much. It depends whether or not you need the space of the a6. If you don't then do you want to carry around the extra weight? And in that case the a4 might be slightly more economical. But as I say I'd still have the a6
  3. Welcome to the forum Andrew, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) The front seats will definitely fit but I'm unsure about the rears to be honest. Hypothetically yes as the base mounting points will be the same. It's the seat back mountings which might be different. With regard to the wiring the seats would have to come out for you to see whether the wiring is under the plastic cover in the center of the floor. If the wiring isn't there and you wanted them wiring in properly then the wiring would have to be fitted under the carpet. It would be a big job to be honest. Here is a YouTube video which shows you how to remove the seats and which may have useful info: https://youtu.be/VnlVHbRtN4g Sorry I can't help more. Cheers Steve
  4. Paul, I feel your pain. Syston is the same. The coop closed last Saturday which had been there 30+ years. Syston is now full of hairdressers, charity shops, solicitors and estate agents. Most of the unique shops have gone. Sad and changing times I'm affraid.
  5. Well it has aliens in it and Harrison Ford. Oh and it's definitely not cowboys verses aliens lol 😂
  6. Welcome to the forum Sean, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) If there is a fault with the airbag it can often be traced to either the airbag switch or airbag wiring running under the passenger seat. Cheers Steve
  7. Is this one too hard?? 😉
  8. I have emailed the organisers again as I still haven't received a response. I'll.let you all know if I hear back. Cheers Steve
  9. Looks a very well cared for car :) That oil leak does need sorting asap to be honest. Could this be the reason why the previous owner sold it I wonder? Well worth changing the gasket if you believe it to be that. The pipe running along the top of the engine looks very shiny and new to me and I wonder if there is a mention of it in the service history of a hose/pipe being replaced recently. Sorry I can't tell.you what it is though. Sorry I can't help more Cheers Steve
  10. I missed that lol! I'd be sceptical about the mpg figure to be honest but it would drive nice all the same :)

    Lovin' it!

Not a problem :) Definitely worth sorting that before you tackle the gearbox oil change or wheel alignment :) Any Audi is a massive difference over a landrover 90!! ;) But I think the 90 will have more of a personality ;)
  12. Hi Dennis, sorry this topic has been missed. As staff we all work voluntarily to manage the forum so you'll have to forgive us for missing some topics. With regard to the window the mechanism could be on it's way out. With regard to the headlights, which light is it that's not working? Full beam or side light? As it's an intermittent fault I'd suspect it's wiring for the light instead or the light switch. However if it is a bulb then you'll be looking at roughly £180 per bulb. The best thing I'd advise is getting a diagnostic check carried out. Sorry I can't help more. We also have a thread for Audi's from around the world. We'd love to see pics of your TT in the Netherlands :) Cheers Steve
  13. Where did you get the figures? I suspect you'll get 10mpg less than that to be honest. My friend has a Passat 2.0 diesel and can get around 800-900 miles per tank!
  14. This is another good idea Adam :) What I have started to do is pin/feature a video, link or article which may prove useful to members. I have been puttin them in the relevent secions such at Q7, a6 c7, wheels and tyres etc. If you come across any useful ones then feel free to do the same :) Cheers Steve
  15. Black edition is one of the best specs :) you'll find sunroofs, adaptive cruise control and head up displays are rare and expensive extras. Here's a link from honest John with some of the nice extras: https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/our-cars/audi-a6/the-top-5-optional-extras-on-the-a6/ Hope it's useful :) Cheers Steve
  16. You're welcome, glad I could help :)
  17. Not a problem :) I'm unsure to be honest. But even with steady driving I don't think you'll get the same mpg as the 2.0 diesel. Hypothetically yes, however if it's just had the recall done and the car is for sale then I would be very careful. Obviously if it was done a year ago then you should be fine :) What spec are you thinking of getting? Cheers Steve
  18. Ah ok, hope it's sorted quickly :)
  19. Hi Martin, My first advice would be to get a diagnostic check carried out to see what fault codes flag up as a flashing glow plug light could be caused by various things. I do know that the B7 was subject to a recall for the injectors and it might be worth to see if there is a recall outstanding on your car or whether it's been done. The light flashing could also be due to the turbo under or over boosting which can be caused by the turbo pressure sensor failing. Or even the dpf sensor failing. One thing I would advise I'd that audis and other German cars don't like being fixed on the cheap as this can cause even more issues later on. I'd advise fix it properly and then you reduced the risk of it going again in the near future. Hope I've helped. Cheers Steve
