  2. In no way have you assisted… an appropriate answer from decent moderators or people seeking to advise would be.. "It appears your chain has slipped a tooth and may have caused severe damage. The repair may be very pricey so I would look at if the car is worth the time and money…hope it goes well" decent answer….. your answers were a joke. Your a pair of wet flannels who’s life is sitting on a forum everyday…😂 Laters ladies 👋
  3. You may need check the wiring and the connectors for water ingress, not easy because it's tight. You could possibly get a picture of the inside by removing the road wheel, arch liner access and disconnecting the ignitor. Or remove the unit from the car to check it. I put it on water that's got in somehow and is bridging the contacts.

  5. Hi I have just changed the oil and filter on my 2017 A3 1.5 tfsi. I fill to the required level on the dip stick took it for a run and checked it again all good. I have then got a warning light for the oil level being too high. I have removed a small amount of oil to see a change on the dip stick which is still within the limits. I ran the car for 20 miles or so and the warning light has came back on for high oil level. Is this a senior problem and is there a easy fix. Cheers

  7. Hi G, no need to apologise, thanks for your thoughts. The prices came straight from the myAudi app so no actual salesman, but agree warranty’s do always seem to favour the dealer more than the customer. I think i will stick with the independent garage and hope for the best that nothing serious happens over the next few years. I do about 10,500 miles a year.
  8. Hi, can anyone help me with a problem I have with my air conditioning, when I start a journey my air conditioning works perfectly and for as long as the journey lasts, no matter the time or distance. As soon as I stop and then restart the engine the air conditioning blows warm, if I keep switching the air conditioning on and off it will eventually restart, sometimes quite quickly and sometimes it takes a long time, when it does come back on it works perfectly. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  11. Could this be a wiring/earthing issue? Might be worth asking an auto electrician to take a look
  12. This could be caused by the battery if it's old and not operating properly. Might be worth having it checked first.

  16. I agree a second opinion would be worthwhile, however I think you will be very lucky to win a warranty claim on a six year old car.
  17. Aircon compressor could be at fault. Has the system been pressure tested?

  20. Welcome Graham, Have you searched EBay, and registered your want with on-line car breaker link sites such as Partsfinder - there are more? Regards, Gareth.
  21. Thank you Frank, Your case is unusual. Usually, owners want to buy larger diameter wheels, because ‘they look better’! Ride quality is obviously important to you ( and would be to me), but in effect, you have bought the wrong car by buying an S.Line, which has inherently harder suspension. My money would be on the likelihood that you bought the car on ‘looks and toys’, which Audi translate into ‘owner also wants roadholding at the expense of ride quality’. One other factor to consider is whether your current tyres are extra load (XL), since if so, this will aggravate the already harsh ride. Please let us know.
  22. Sounds a lot like my old issue with 2.0 FSI petrol, but yours is diesel and what solved my issue you've already tried to do. For me it was high and low fuel pressure sensors, in diesel probably there is only one ? or out of 2 you've replaced only 1 ? but yeah I've got nothing more to add to that.
  23. They are Matrix LED I believe as they have the large projector lens on the outside and a myriad of lenses towards the centre.
  24. Hello everyone! Here I am back with some major updates! I picked up the car from my mechanic after completing all the work mentioned earlier. The car is running great—in fact, I’ve already driven over 2,500 km with it since I bought it. There’s still a bit of uncertainty with cold starts, but aside from that, I’m really enjoying a solid and very pleasant car to drive on a daily basis. Over time, I’m noticing a few "notes" about the car, including: I replaced the tires with some high-performance (and fresh) Hankook ones, which significantly improved driving comfort. Unfortunately, I discovered that 3 out of 4 alloy wheels are bent and need to be repaired. Indeed, at around 100 km/h, there’s a strong vibration in the steering wheel, and after 3 balancing attempts, nothing has changed. Regarding the uncertain cold start, my mechanic and I first agreed to use four full tanks of diesel with the addition of Bardahl Top Diesel+. I’m currently on the fourth tank and the issue persists, so we’re going to try something stronger, like mineral oil for 2-stroke engines, to try to "unblock" and clean the Bosch pump from any accumulated sludge. If that doesn’t help, we’ll proceed with replacing the camshaft position sensor and, if necessary, overhaul the pump. Fuel consumption has finally settled into a very interesting range. In fact, I’m now getting 13 km/l (30 MPG). What can I say... I’m really happy!
  25. I got same issue had water dried it up now seat not working do u spray contact cleaner on swich side of seat to?
  26. It's the intercooler pump. A member had a similar issue the other day: https://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php/198777-P-190-d
  27. You need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Also what engine has the car got? Does it happen in certain weather or temperature conditions? Any warning lights on? Any recent other work done to the car?
