  2. Evening, recently purchased A6 2018 2.0TDI and had the glow plug relay changed twice after the EML came on with the p0670 fault code. Clearly it's not two new relays, the fault once cleared comes back after about 3-4 engine starts which suggests it is an intermittent fault. The last autoelec that checked said all 4 Glow plugs are fine and also the GP fuse is GOOD changed the relay and light came back on😭. I'm thinking to get the GP fuse changed anyway not sure of location of the fuse if anyone knows the location? or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Audi A6 SE 2.0 TDI 90ps 38000mls

  4. I gutted my DPF after many attempts to clean it with all sorts of chemicals/soap etc etc i now have a smokey smell and the mrs hates it,wasnt sure wether it was all that crap i pumped thru it?? or that its because it hasnt got a DPF now??? can you describe the smell??
  5. I took mine out opened it up and gutted it and welded it back up (it CAN be done without dropping the subframe) it was a bit tight ....i also blocked off the EGR and had to pay £250 to have a remap to turn off the DPF light (delete) it has gone trhu 2 mots since but was a bit smokey ....there is an american on utube who showed it being done but he did replace it with a straight pipe ,which you cant do in this country unfortunately.
  6. just noticed i have a esp warning light telling me to check the manual???
  7. Okay thank you yes I was thinking that this would be the case alright would I be able to take connectors from the saloon and solder the wiring into the estate connectors the same and wires are the same colours going to each pin also after I replace the ccm will have to reprogram the ccm ?
  8. Evening everyone, Starter solenoid went so decided to change myself. If anyone is tempted to give this a go here are some tips. Make sure you have tools and axle stands or its a tough job. I couldn't get it out without taking the engine mount. Some good videos on YouTube. The hardest part is one of the Allen bolts from the top engine mount that is obscured by the exhaust. The other top one is accessible with lots of extensions and a Wobblies. Looking for a part number for the stretch bolts (x3 18m main bolts) Any help would be apreciated.
  9. I think it's clipped on. You might find it's cheaper to replace the whole airbag from a used one from eBay.
  10. The first thing to eliminate/incriminate is the battery. Halfords stores or probably your local motor factors can test its efficiency - under load. Please let us know how you get on. If you need to replace the battery, then buy once and wisely. The forum can advise you on this.
  11. The oil temperature gauge issue could be due to a faulty sender. Similarly, the in tank fuel level variable resistor maybe at fault or sticky. Not absolutely certain with your c30 year old model, but it was very common to encounter a voltage stabiliser on earlier vehicles. This small unit was generally in circuit with the gauges and served to ‘damp’ the gauges - by lowering the voltage to c10 volts. Well worth checking the circuit diagrams. Regards, Gareth.
  12. Hi all. Does any one have info or Wiring diagram for our problem. This is that the when unlocking the front top latch to release the hood nothing happens as should, windows do not drop and button to raise rear hood cover flap does not operate. This my wife's Cabrio owed since new in 1992. Many thanks Jack
  13. Does anybody know what this pipe leads to/ what’s under the plastic? When I take the pipe off the lights go off the dash n come back on when plugged in but not sure what’s underneath the plastic or where the pipe leads to?
  14. Hello there, so i can change the middle and the long lightbulbs without take all the bumber off? I can change them by upside for the long and by the wheel window for the middle range lights??? Its so simple?
  15. Um! Thanks.
  16. Be careful you don’t wear your exclamation button out.

Hi. I have exactly the same problem on my 2016 A3. Thank you all for your endeavours to fix the problem, I hope mine will mend too......... ? I'll have to check in the morning the I have the same software; RMC_EU_P16342 If this is still relevant ? Have just scrolled to the top of my MEMORY list of radio stations and can't get 'Update Station List' I merely get the first Radio station in my list. Does anyone have any clues how I get the 'Update Station List' prompt up please ?
  20. I think the same thing has happened on my Audi A4 b9 2017. It looks easy enough to replace but not sure if it's recirculation or fresh air control motor. I need to find someone with VDCS who can do it for me, don't suppose you're near Northampton way by any chance? Do you know the part number?
  21. I was planning on adding to the forum at the point there was something worthwhile to update the forum on. I didn't see the point in messaging regularly to say nothing new to report. Thankfully the warning has only appeared in few and far between instances recently. As noted above it only tends to be when starting the engine when already hot (after popping into a shop etc). Whilst I don't think the issue is gone, I have been very busy recently and dealing with the car has not been a priority. I am following the advice of my local mechanic and seeing how things go for now before deciding upon the next steps.
  22. Thank you for the suggestion Gareth. I’ll have a look at the part website. I understand that now, thank you for your help. Dan
  23. Cheers. Glad to hear I'm not the only one😆
  24. No probs at all
  25. Welcome to the forum Ricky you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Nice you've got a two car Audi family 🙂
  26. Thanks for the reply. Yeah I intend on steering clear of the cheap Chinese ones as the lag and slowdown on things like this will creep in over time. Happy to use a shop to buy/fit if it's a decent price overall.
  27. Afternoon everyone, I’ve had an intermittent left turn signal fault show up on my 2014 Avant for a couple of weeks now. At first I thought it could be a faulty contact or damp inside the light cluster. On closer inspection, one of the LED’s for the indicator is not working. Could anyone assist with a genuine part number please? I had a look on the underside and it seems to A046318 but that shows up Mercedes parts on EBay. Thank you for any help, it is much appreciated. Paul.
  28. Thank you. One day somebody will bless you for that information.
