TinPot TinTop
I only get it in first and reverse, or perhaps I don't notice it at speed. It's a 2010 Avant 2.0 tdi. I thought it might be the snub mount. The car has covered 200000 miles. Whaddya think? Which if the mounts is likely to fail at that mileage? TinPot TinTop
Thanks Steve. I am an amateur mechanic - I can do brakes, rebuild carbs, suspension bushes and stuff like that - I have trolley jack and axle stands, reckon those jobs are beyond me? Hi probably not, you will need a good set of axle stands and some sturdy blocks of wood to support the engine as you lift it enough to remove the old front mounts, there are a couple of good tutorials on YouTube.
