Brian74656 Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Good morning I have a 2016 a5 cabriolet, when purchased steering wheel buttons and paddles were not working but the horn was I have replaced the control ring under the airbag after diagnostic said this was the fault, however since fitting my mechanic can't get the cruise control stalk to work which was working before the control ring was swapped, I ordered a new part from autodoc using the vehicle reg so I'm sure the ring is the correct oem part, any ideas or advice would be really appreciated
Brian74656 Posted May 31 Author Posted May 31 Just an update, I've got hold of a audi tech as a foreigner and he has told me the one I ordered is general part and not the exact audi part no. This has now been ordered and should arrive on Monday. But I now have a power steering warning light as well, I'll keep the thread updated and if the new ring fixes my problems I'll place the part no in the feed 1
Magnet Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Thanks Brian, Autodoc has had mention in relation to the supply of incorrect parts. I’ve never been affected by this, because I don’t buy from them, preferring not to pay highish postage charges compared with other suppliers. Regards, Gareth.

Problem solved at last 👌
