Wind deflectors

Featured Replies

Does anyone have a view on wind deflectors? Pro’s and cons?
Are there any user experiences?

They help keep the car cool in summer as it allows you to leave the window open slightly regardless of it's sunny or raining.

If you're a smoker then it reduces the risk of you getting wet when you get rid of the ash from the cigarette.

i think theyre great, they add to the cars look and you dont need to put the windows up fully when its warm, plus handy for smokers as steve says!

Do the windows close properly with them fitted? I don’t want any wind noise. What brand did you buy?

Yep they'll fully shut. Audi do them but heko are popular. Wind noise might be increased slightly. I've never had a problem with heko ones.

I have Heko's on mine (and on my previous Mondeo and the wife's Enyaq) and they've all fitted really well and not caused any issues with windows closing. I would say that on the Enyaq they have increased wind noise but only marginally. With the Mondeo and Q5 they probably have as well but not enough to have been heard over the engine.

Personally, I think they provided a nice aesthetic boost to all 3 of our cars though.

mine are heko too ,small bit of road noise but its still worth it

I've put some ispeed ones and mine and, whilst they look good (in my opinion anyway!), I've noticed that the drivers window does struggle a little bit when going back up, near the top of the door.

Well I’ve gone for it, I’ve bought a set from Heko, I’ll let you know how it goes

That was easier than I thought. The windows are fully up after a couple of hours in the sun. The front windows did initially keep dropping down but sorted now.
