Hi you can bleed the fuel filter using the ignition, when you change the filter fill the new one as much as possible with fuel [messy] then once connected without starting the engine cycle the ignition on for at least ten second intervals twelve times, once its running leave for a minimum of five minutes to allow the HPFP to self bleed. Steve.

That’s a good shout getting a car scanned before you buy, hadn’t thought of that, but it’s been a while since a bought a car from an independent. Thankfully they are being decent and are going to collect the car and sort all the issues out. I’ll just need t make sure I scan it when it comes back. this one’s pre adblue as I’ve seen too many issues with that with friends/colleagues.

I don't believe it can be Audi equipment. The fancy perforations in the metal sheet and flimsy securing straps suggest it has been cobbled together by an owner. Whether the purpose is innocent or nefarious I have no idea.

DSG or manual?

Not sure there is such a thing available. and getting at the wiring to splice it in is likely to be a bit of a challenge.

A good quality machine can do it. But should show up with vcds or similar

Audi A4 Climatronic Change I found this video which may be useful on removing the trim etc

Heres a cool part I found on another page. It's a washer fluid tank cap that doubles as a funnel to prevent the washer fluid spliling. It's an OE part on some Skodas and fits right on most audis. Part number 000096706. Found on ebay for £9.

Led and audi dont get along . Especialy any audi from 2004 - 2011. Problem is with hard coded fault checking and hyperflash that cannot be switched off. Basicly the car sends current every 30 sec and reads out resistance. With led resistance being so low comparing to standard bulbs car thinks bulbs are faulty showing errors. Also the current couses led to flash every few minutes . Canbus led works on some audis and most times it dosent . Also adding resistors helps but then need to be minimum 50ohm.
