  1. The myaudi app has all of the service info under service topics Mine has 2 lines showing the next oil change and the next inspection, then there is a summary of what has already been done and an area called additional for gearbox /ATF oil, brake fluid etc.
  2. Yes that's right. I've read on this site (or possibly myaudiq5.com) that the adjustable arm rest is an optional extra. It's a pretty petty move by Audi IMO.
  3. If you have the time a 2021 A3 then you can sign up to my.audi.com or through the myaudi app and all the info will be there. My 68 reg Q5 doesn't have a service book and Audi confirmed that they don't do them any more. I'm surprised that they didn't explain it when you bought the car.
  4. It should be - but you may need to set the phone up to allow file transfer. A USB AMI cable is pretty cheap on e bay or amazon.
  5. I'm pretty sure your stuck with the screens. Firmware updates normally fix bugs and are sometimes needed in order to ensure that later version maps work. Have a look on this link it might help https://mca.electricmura.ro/en/blog-audi-mmi-mib-models/
  6. That's not a standard cable. I suspect that a USB stick with mp3s would play. If your phone is android then you may need to set it up to allow data transfer over USB.
  7. You might want to do a bit of Googling to confirm this but this link suggests that it may be by design and despite the speed limits being stored in the maps Audi are (in effect) only allowing camera recognition for road speed limits https://www.audiworld.com/forums/audi-a3-s3-rs-3-13/map-update-speed-limits-not-working-a3-8y-2020-model-3011713/
  8. It worked once but has reverted back now. I'll keep looking but clearing my cache every time is too much of a PITA. Cheers Update OK so if I clear all stored data for this site address and then login it works every time. So when I log in some data is being stored on my browsers and stopping me from connecting next time.
  9. Just cleared my cache / browsing data and it logged in first time!
  10. Sorry Trevor - no difference. It's very random - there must be something about my phone that your server just doesn't like. I can live with it 👍
  11. Did you do the install yourself? If so it might be worth googling for similar installs to see if you can recode or re-pin. You might also have problems with steering sensors - specifically calibration - so probably best to double check 👍
  12. Both checked today. Other than them trying to charge me £56 for 2 wipers, there was nothing to report!
  13. You could always send a spider in..... to catch the fly...... 😁 😁 😁 The vacuum cleaner sounds like a good idea 👍
  14. Does it need coding / adaption? I'd imagine some of the electronics is different between the two wheels.
  15. Thanks Trevor - I'll see how it goes. Failed on Samsung browser (fingerprint) this morning but worked on Chrome (password)
  16. Have a look at obdeleven https://obdeleven.com/en/?gclid=Cj0KCQjw6NmHBhD2ARIsAI3hrM2gBJby8YdlQgOj-0rg0QFAe0hTAvRnlgCTnRDwWWRfGwjc6UKx_f4aAjdxEALw_wcB They offer basic apps and workshop options along with more detailed options If you have an Android phone the basic / cheapest one will do otherwise you may need the newer version. The website is pretty informative. You need credits to enable the features but they're pretty cheap and you get 1 free credit every day just by opening the app!
  17. Hi Steve - it's good to know I'm not alone! I've just logged in on a Fire tablet using Chrome first time. No such luck on my Android phone. I've tried a mac a few times and it's worked fine too (on Chrome) Weird 🤔
  18. I've had a bit of trouble logging in over the last few weeks - it's mainly when I use my phone. Normally I use the Samsung browser and fingerprint but I've also had issues with Firefox and chrome using ID and password. Each time it looks like the connection just hangs. It seems quite random and if I use an android tablet with chrome it seems to work. Not a biggie but just wondering if it's just me... Obviously if I don't reply to any reply to this it's because I can't log in! 😁
  19. It looks like the obdll is missing. Is the footlight on the centre console side of the panel {the obd is closest to the bonnet release)? Either way there should be some evidence of the connector /cables. I guess you went through something like this to get access https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=c5RuCb5DCZI
  20. Have a look here https://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/topic/18581-aux-input-in-place-of-6-cd-changer/?do=getNewComment You'll need to identify which unit you have but the Yatour unit will give you usb/aux/SD inputs and there are Bluetooth upgrade options too.
  21. Great - the only issue that you might have is where to route the Yatour unit. The glove box is the favourite 👍
  22. If you Google yatour digital music changer audi a4 You'll see the type of connector that plugs into the rear of your radio, replacing the CD changer connection. You may also find alternatives to Yatour. On some you can have a splitter and have cd and the new unit. There aren't so any around now but it should give you an idea. You can also add Bluetooth connectivity with similar kit.
  23. I doubt it's an easy swop - if your screen is embedded in the dash then the newer ones tend to be mounted like a tablet on the dash in the centre and the head unit / sat nav is in the glovebox. That means that the connections are unlikely to be like the old car radios. As with a previous poster on here, it may be better for you to ave a look at this website to identify your kit https://mca.electricmura.ro/en/blog-audi-mmi-mib-models/ It has a really good summary of the options and maybe you can find something similar that you can upgrade to. You can also then Google "your mmi model" map update and see what comes back by way of firmware and map updates.
  24. I'd say that a 1999 model is less likely to be compatible. The fact that the gov website only covers Audis back until 2001 also suggests you have a problem. Everything after 2011 is good but even if you allow for forward planning by manufacturers, 2000 is at least 2 iterations before 2011. You should probably ask your local Audi dealer.
  25. So when I rang up about 91Y7 for the phone LTE booster it seems that there is another issue possibly only on tfsi Q5s relating to possible rust risk on lower sills. They estimate 3 hours all in but I suspect that if there is a problem with bodywork finish it will be a couple of days. Anyone else heard of this 51G5?
