had to do similar. bumper off, service mode.while doing the cambelt changed the water pump aux belt and all the pulleys.are you mentioning the lights and adjusters because it was a learning curve darryl.or just a good tip lol

hi and welcome.....would you think having a diagnostic check for codes may help.....good luck if you need to change the thermostat.i had a right job getting the thermostat out in such a tight space.(thermostat sealed in a plastic casing)....i ended up taking the alternator off to get to it.then you try getting the pipe back on that runs to the right of the thermostat for the coolant to run through.check for leaks in that area once its all back together best wishes stephen

my old auid a4 2011 parcel shelf was not sitting right in place and making a knocking noise. so a few squirts of the smelly WD40 and massaging the mechanism on the parcel shelf for 15 minutes or so sorted itsorry i have no idea about an a5 2018 but this could be the problem...now sits in place and no knocking

it performs its function but audi says charge it up the stop start is not performimg like it should and when i put the snap on to check things it says please ensure that the battery of the vehicle is kept above 12.75 volts.... so i am losing communication with the car when trying to check for any codes/faults.not tried an audi independent gareth.regards stephen

i bought a brand new(supposedly), halfords stop/start battery from ebay i took it to audi but they could not code it to the car.so i went to halfords and said it would cost a £100 to code it to the car.so i left it.

check fuses do you have a owners manual

would unplugging the radio and waiting a few hours(inconvenient)then trying it.regards

it seems a common fault...is this the video to do this. ....it says make sure you have an 8m spline bit read the rest of the first comment too.i have read also that the fault can be caused by the main door lock too.but dont quote me on this.

hi,did you end up taking the egr out in the end and cleaning it.if yes what cleaning agent did you use. any pictures as i was going to have a go myself at some point as i know the holes can get blocked even though nothing has appeared on the dash.just a precaution thanks

apologies for a late reply had 4 deaths in the past few months, one recently.i bought the oil/air/fuel filter and sump plug from audi and mobil 1 from ebay....not impressed with mobil compared to the shell helix ultra.so will try the quantom long life 3 thanks gareth regards stephen(no fuel filter showing)

i have and audi a4 2011...i, like others have a leak in the trunk/boot.never been able to sort it.i tried the usual get someone to sit in the trunk/boot while someone pours water over the back window.no result.here is a picture of the pool where the battery sits and look where one of the leads sits.had to take drastic action with mine and drill a hole in the boot.hope your more succesful than me lol.regards stephen
