  4. Can anyone please tell me what has happened to the summer? Has it gone on holiday to Spain and forgotten about us? If found, please return to Great Britain :-)
  5. Hi Allan....welcome to the Forum The usual thing that occurs on VAG cars is for the washer jet hose to pop off or leak and that tends to fill up the tailgate and also the boot latch mechanism which then fails after a while...worth pulling off the cover to investigate the cause. Cheers, Trevor
  6. Hi David....welcome to the Forum I would definitely take them up on that deal Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  7. Paul A6 ....this is what you will need as well as the track rod end to ensure you have repaired it properly and a four wheel alignment is from around £50 - £65 with any adjustments. Fitting time if you took it to an independent garage would be around 30 - 45 minutes. 9. Good luck and let us know how it goes Paul
  10. Hi Steve as you are a member and have posted a few times, I don't see a problem with the advert. I shall move it to the correct section (parts for sale) and maybe you could edit it to add more info like price, etc Cheers, Trevor
  11. A remap does a lot more besides, certainly makes the car more driveable and flexible on the drivetrain. The A4 should release plenty more power once remapped without causing any issues....apart from telling your insurance company about an upgrade Here is a useful article I wrote on the subject, hope it helps? http://www.drivn.co.uk/electronic-engine-tuning-guide/
  12. Images added to a gallery album owned by AOC Admin in Audi Events Photos
Nice selection of RS Audi's spotted at Silverstone Classic (2017)
  13. Sorry that no-one has replied to you since you posted but I suppose it may be that it's a case of if you're not sure then best not to advise and get it wrong. Personally, I would jack the car up on the sill and then find a suitable point to place a stand and maybe work on one wheel at a time...safest method all round
  14. I have heard of that happening and that's where it pays to say at the time of the deal that it has to all be included....happened to a friend of mine with a Lexus and he winged and got the accessories it was demonstrated with (mats, mudflaps, etc)
  15. Hi Bradley thinking of trading up then? 100k miles is nothing to a car nowadays but the values drop like a stone when they hit that mark so bargains galore! The A5 is a great car and as far as mileage goes, it affects residual value but otherwise, the engine should still be healthy (if maintained) for thousands of miles more. As for the rest of the car, you'll need to have a thorough check of all components for wear and tear but full-service history should eliminate any major problems. Keep us updated on what you find out there. Cheers, Trevor
  16. I would advise running a fuel cleaning solution through the engine and also one for the intake as it sounds like the valves are sticking with carbon build up. Possibly try Terraclean treatment and I believe that they come out to your home or workplace to clean the engine through
  17. Hi Colin....welcome to the Forum If you can show them documentation relating to the specific model stating that the screens are included then I'm sure they'll budge on their decision....as it is, the screens (aftermarket) are cheap enough for them to include in the deal Let us know how you get on with it all Cheers, Trevor
  18. Hi Andy...welcome to the Forum Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  19. Sorry to hear about your poor dog Dan3222 ... hope all goes okay
  20. Hi David....welcome to the Forum Love the look of the car with the black alloys Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  21. Hi Kelly....welcome to the Forum Sorry to hear about your accident but at least you walked away and it could have been worse I suppose? You don't say what speed you were when you hit the posts (although you were probably preoccupied with everything going on at the time and didn't have time to look at the speedo), but if you managed to scrub off some speed before hitting them and it was then below a certain speed the airbags may not have needed to deploy (e.g. below 15mph). Looking at the damage, it doesn't look too bad on the front as though it was considerably high speed otherwise the damage would have been much more severe so this leads me to think that you may have scrubbed off sufficient forward speed. The damage always look more severe as the front end is designed to fold and absorb the impact energy. However, the side damage does look quite severe as though the van hit you quite hard? Let us know how you get on with it all Cheers, Trevor
  22. or this
  23. AOC Admin replied to V AL4N's topic in Audi R8 Club
You may be right about the anti-glare coating, VAG tend to put weird coatings on just about anything. I would imagine the best place to start would be a remap, probably the cheapest as well, but would recommend somewhere that has Dyno facilities that can accurately measure the increases and tune the car accordingly. Can't imagine there would be much improvement over the standard OE components (intake/exhaust) on the R8, or if there is it wouldn't be cheap
