  1. Look forward to reading the feature and thanks for the photos... Best Regards, Trevor
  2. Hi Jamie...welcome to the Forum Could possibly be Glow Plugs around this time of year and if one is slightly below par then that can lead to lumpiness for a short period. Should be quite easy to measure the resistance of each plug to see if there is a variation in them. Let us know how you get on with it. Cheers Trevor
  3. I would agree with you, a good drain down and then refill (along with a filter change) and it will probably be okay. Certainly worth a try to start with as its the cheapest option and see how it goes.
  4. sounds like there was air in the system then...or a slight blockage?
  5. I know some of the VWs had two switches, one for the brake lights and one for engine management to throw a signal to the ECU when the brake is applied
  6. Hi Garrett...welcome to the Forum. There are specialists in the UK that can carry out this sort of update but not sure about the US, although there must be a VW / Audi specialist somewhere? I would just carry on with the TomTom as would always stay updated with a quick download on the PC whereas you would have to be reliant on buying the updates from Audi on a constant basis at huge cost. Let us know how you progress with this Cheers Trevor
  7. Your diagnostic port is tucked up under the dash...see link for photo http://www.wikiobd.co.uk/vehicle.php?vh=1019 It could well be the TPS failing which would give those exact symptoms. Keep us informed on how you progress with it. Cheers Trevor

Hi Mick...welcome to the Forum Engines should not use coolant if they do then you have a fault with the system, I would advise having a skilled mechanic pressure test the cooling system (including the pressure cap) to ascertain if there is a weak point somewhere. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor
  9. As long as the oil level is correct .... you could drain and refill the engine with the correct quantity next time it needs an oil change (e.g. how much came out and measure the required quantity to go in the engine) then you'll now exactly that the oil level is correct.
  10. Hi...and welcome to the Forum It sounds odd that the car doesn't start after fitting the parts, would be tempted to put the old parts back on and make sure the system is bled properly. If the fuel pressure sender is not reading pressure then it won't start so ensure that fuel is present in the rail and then see if other components are responding accordingly. What does the scanner report (e.g. fault codes, live data, etc) Cheers Trevor
  11. Hi John...welcome to the Forum Not sure personally what the procedures are for updating the Satnav but here is a link that may shine some light on it Cheers Trevor
  12. Hi Phil...welcome to the Forum Fire away with the problems and I'm sure someone can help? Cheers Trevor
  13. Could only imagine that there is some air in the system....possibly a bleed point in the heater area?
  14. Hi Kamlesh...welcome to the Forum Hope you find the answer in the A5 section Cheers Trevor
  15. Are there one or two switches on the brake pedal?
  16. Hi John...welcome to the Forum I would imagine that it would log a fault code in the ECU if there is some sort of misfire so may be worth getting it scanned for fault codes and go from there. let us know how you get on with this one. Cheers Trevor
  17. Hi Michael...welcome to the Forum I don't believe it does illuminate from memory but it would probably be a case of removing the airbag to find out if there is a bulb within the switch. Let us know what you find Cheers Trevor
  18. Hi Dean...welcome to the Forum I would go for a basic remap as if done properly can lead to better mpg and drivability. Let us know how you get on if you go this route Cheers Trevor
  19. Hi Paul...welcome to the Forum You could try fitting an aftermarket lighting kit (see link) which would be cheaper and easier to fit I would think http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DRL-HQ-AUTOLIGHTING-CREE-EXTRA-BRIGHT-LIGHTS-AUTOSWITCH-E4-RL00-V10-A-/251873799372?hash=item3aa4d92ccc:g:OZ8AAOSwPhdU~tqL Cheers Trevor
  20. Hi Elle...welcome to the Forum As Dmb10k has suggested, the coolant colour won't make any difference and as long as it is OAT and the right quantity then you shouldn't have any problem. Cheers Trevor
  21. Have heard of this fault but I would also look at other possibilities and possibly scan the ECU to see if it has generated any fault codes for the blip
  22. Certainly sounds like a great device to protect your pride and joy....keep us informed on how it's all going
  23. It's never a wrong time...always get a sunny day in the winter when I take my convertibles out .... got to have the heater on and a wooly hat though!
  24. Hi David It's in beautiful condition, you should have no problem selling it. Not sure of what it is worth, and think maybe the best way is to list it on eBay and see what offers come in but you can always remove it before the end if it doesn't reach the price you want. Let us know how you get on with the sale Cheers Trevor
  25. Hi Edd Not good to find out you have been fleeced by this company...i assume it is this one I found a link for on the Police website http://www.west-midlands.police.uk/latest-news/news.aspx?id=5150 Have you got the car back now or is it still there? Cheers Trevor
