Concert system upgrade
Hi Adeel...welcome to the Forum I would imagine the best and cheapest option would be to replace the unit with an aftermarket head unit with bluetooth and MP3 connectivity. Technology has moved on so much since they fitted this system as standard in the A4 Let us know how you get on with this Cheers Trevor

Towbar and electrics for A4 Avant B8
It does state that it is 'unbranded' but then states that it complies with all the Italian safety standards and it lists the comment below Be aware that quality is priceless, above all in reference to road safety! Not sure whether I'd fit it to be honest

Window hassle
Just a thought but it sounds like an obstruction in the runner and as it hits resistance it then backs off ?

New Owner, new warning light
Hi Charles....welcome to the Forum It sounds like the DPF filter from what you are describing. The usual cure for this is to blast it down the motorway in a low gear (maybe 3rd gear around 70 mph) but it may throw out some muck so maybe do it at night possibly? Let us know how you get on with the warranty, etc Cheers Trevor

EGR valve
Hi Karl...welcome to the Forum Is the car predominantly driven around town or is it worked on long or fast journeys? Only, if it's smoked around town it leads to carbon build up in components such as EGR, injectors, piston rings...all of which can lead to the symptoms you describe. Running fuel additives to clean the engine and a good blast to clear it through may sort it. Let us know how this progresses. Cheers Trevor

Rear Valance/Diffuser Help
Not done this mod myself but hopefully someone may pop up on here who has carried this job out before. Couldn't find any diffusers of the type you are looking for but there are some later ones on there in the same style...have no idea if they would fit though http://www.audiownersclub.com/parts-results/A3-S3/Bumpers--Rubbing-Strips/174049 Good luck with the project, would love to see the outcome of it

Low idle speed
I know it sounds silly and really basic but have you tried running a cleaner through the engine/intake recently as the amount of carbon that builds up everywhere (including piston rings which can give you the symptoms you are describing). I have done this on so many cars recently combined with a damn good blast to clear it all through....works a treat every time! Failing that, a leak down test is something that will find or eliminate a lot of suspsect components / areas. Let us know what you find Cheers Trevor

Thanks for posting that info up as I'm sure others have (or in fact still are) struggling to find out how to enter destinations.

Arm rest cover clip broken.
Hi Gareth Could you post up the eBay link and I'll have a look to see if they list the same one for an A3 somewhere else. Cheers Trevor

02254 interface to generator no signal intermittent and 02479 partial consumer shut off active
It would appear that this is a warning that the alternator / battery may be failing. Would check the battery condition first (as it's that time of year where it's getting colder and more consumables are switched on). Ensure you carry out a heavy discharge test on the battery and check the alternator output also. Let us know how you get on with it Cheers Trevor

Questions re sat nav, aux in and phone
Thanks for posting the video up on here....could be useful for someone who wants to go through the agro of fitting one in. Seems like a better option with retro-fitting and to be fair, the technology is newer and therefore better as well.

Hello Audi :)
Hi Maris...welcome to the Forum I think if you got on well with your Passat then you should find a similar experience with the A3 but with more refinement. Keep us informed of how its all going Cheers Trevor

Flashing PRNDS Lights
Hi Steve...welcome to the Forum I would say it is more than likely a sensor issue or even damaged wiring or connector going to the sensor. One other thing you could try first is to remove the battery negative terminal and leave disconnected for an hour or so, then reconnect and shift the gears slowly but repeatedly backwards and forwards (low to high and back again) whilst stationary with the engine running and handbrake on so the control unit can relearn the gear positions.then take it for a drive to see how it works. Done that one a few cars (other makes) before and it tends to work, but worth a try if nothing else before committing to spending money on parts, etc.

New Key Fob
If you're just replacing the internal battery in the Fob then there is a reprogramming procedure you can do yourself but if the secondhand Fob is from another car or a new one that hasn't yet been programmed then you will need to take it to a VAG specialist repairer to programme it into the car.

Boot latch wont engage
I would say that by the sound of it, electrical connections is where the problem is. Sometimes, twisting the wiring connector/loom 360 degrees so that there is some biasing on the terminals works or at the very least works long enough to establish a diagnosis. Keep us informed of any developments
