  1. It will depend on numbers. My A6 still off the road, and my friend moved to Norway so that's two of us down.
  2. Could you not look at getting one now as you're looking to replace your current A4?
  3. Please keep us posted on how you get on 🙂
  4. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 What other models are you considering?
  5. Been a little quiet this week due to a family member on end of life care and my friend unavailable to assist As such I've not been able to get the sump off but I have left my expansion tank to soak in bicarbonate soda on a recommendation from a mechanic colleague. I've not soaked the sensor connector, for anyone worried. My rationale is that the original expansion tank will be better quality than any replacement?
  6. Please keep us posted on how you get on 🙂
  7. Further investigation required then and you'll need to decide what route you take.
  8. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Could just be a boost pipe that's failed so check them first for leaks.
  9. Now this is it ironic, after what I said 🤦‍♂️ I think the car knew you were looking to get rid of it so it's playing up now lol. Has the issue happened just once? If so, I'd record the codes but then clear them and see if they come back. For reference a turbo will cost around £600 I think. If it is the turbo, do t buy one of those cheap Chinese ones as they're often known to fail just outside of the 1 year warranty. As you were after more power anyway, now could be the time to get a hybrid turbo, front mounted intercooler and a remap. After all you did say you wanted to keep the call long term.
  10. Will look great with those wheels. You could just source genuine Audi s line suspension (shocks/springs) which should lower it by 30mm. And shouldn't be too expensive. Don't forget you'll need to get tracking done after you lower it.
  11. What are the codes relating to sorry? Pcv are common if I'm not mistaken.
  12. The blue is stunning. Don't be put off too much by the auto. It is a good gearbox as long as it's got a proven service record. The megatronics unit is what fails on Audi autos.
  13. Does it fit in the door pocket?
  14. It'll need a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. What does the error message say?
  15. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 The gen 1 is a lovely car.

  17. In my wife's jags case there wasn't any warning lights either which I think is standard/common. Should be safe to drive to the garage. It'll be more costly to do all 6. Definitely speak to the warranty company but I can guarantee they'll say it's wear and tear.
  18. Looks lovely 🙂
  19. You're welcome, and I'm good thank you. Hope you're well. Does look like it to me. I've never had to do it on an Audi, but it cost £160 to change a seal on my wife's Jag. Independent garage. The seal is like a copper washer but they leak and cause the smell. Definitely speak to your trusted mechanic. As it's a case of removing the injector and replacing the seal.
  20. If it's blowing near an injection for then most likely just the injector seal.
  21. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up but it might be a fault with the solenoid in the switch on the boot handle.
  22. Funny you say that, I had a suspicion that was linked to your question. It's not the first b9 We've seen registered as a b8.
  23. Good decision. Quattro is only beneficial in terrible snow in my opinion. As the saying goes your better with the devil you know rather than a devil you don't know. Speak to darkside developments about upgrades. They're very experienced with the 1.9. They sell uprated clutch kits.
