  1. Sorry to hear of your health issues. I know on my older A6 the ECU, cluster and injection pump all have to talk to one another to get the car to run. So you'll definitely need to get the cluster coded. You'll need an auto electrican to help with this. Safe mode is the car realising that these components aren't talking to one another and the car imobiliser has stopped it working. Also the sports exhaust shouldn't affect the MOT as long as catalytic converter is fitted. Egr might not fail MOT as long as mot tester can see it fitted.
  2. I've never heard of a glow plug delete and not found anything on Google. Glow plugs are designed to warm the fuel system to help start the diesel engine. Without them it won't start.
  3. Is there anything in the spare wheel well such as a battery? I'd definitely recommend you try eBay. You might find one if you look under vw golf as the golf space saver will fit the A3 hub.
  4. I agree with Gareth. Get the battery changed then see if fault codes return
  5. I don't think there is. You could always get a rear facing dash cam DND mount the camera lower?
  6. Not the same shape. My 2 is slightly longer.
  7. This might depend on what engine you've got. When looking for upgraded coil packs you might be better off looking under vw polo or similar as VW seems better support led for mods than Audi. Despite being the same car underneath, you might find them under vw.
  8. Have you had a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up? Has the wiring been butcherd when the mod was done I wonder?
  9. I feel your pain, I gave up looking for an aym 2.5 for mine and having a different engine code one fitted instead.
  10. Get the tank drained to be safe.
  11. It might be easier for you to replace it with a used one. That will need coding to the car though.
  12. I don't think they will.
  13. Could be. Or dpf? Have you done a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up?
  14. Shouldn't fail emissions I don't think. But if the MOT tester is eagle eyed and notices it missing then he can fail it.
  15. Glad it's working again 🙂
  16. I'd try eBay
  17. I agree but I suppose their job is harder if the undertray blocks their visibility
  18. Id recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. I'm wondering if your battery is failing if it's old as a failing battery can throw up unusual electrical gremlins.
  19. Steve Q replied to Gav66's topic in Classic Audi Club
    I think they will.
  20. You're welcome 🙂
  21. Glad you got sorted. Is it any good?
  22. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. It's under warranty so should be covered by Audi.
  23. Is it diesel? Could be the car doing a dpf regen.
  24. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. It could be the driver's door electric switch control. Or it could be a failing comfort control module. Have your carpets get wet?
