  1. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 Glad you've looked at YouTube videos. Make sure all electrical items work and gearbox has been serviced. And quattro system has been serviced. Linked to this make sure tyres are the same brand and the same tread on the the same axle if that makes sense Yep Timing chain can always be an issue but should be fine as long as car has been serviced on time.

  5. Wouldn't the boot one run off the other 2 sockets?
  6. This in Dartford?
  7. I'm slightly confused, is this an iveco engine or has it been engine swapped? The iveco 2.5 turbo is an inline 4 and mines a v6. So will the current rad etc fit directly. Or do I need the radiator etc.
  8. Glad you got sorted
  9. You're doing the right thing being on top of the maintenance. You'd be amazed how many people cut corners on servicing
  10. The locking function is standard and common on vag cars from.the era. If you look at the pinned thread near the top of the TT section (post above yours) you'll see a thread I've done on the rear window repair 👍
  11. Thank you so much for your kind words, it's greatly appreciated 🙂👍

  16. I agree eBay or I'm sure Audi will sell them.
  17. You could also consider a failing CCM which I think you'll find under the passenger footwell. Have the carpets got wet recently?
  18. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 nice to see another member not far from me. Sorry to hear of your issue. Please could you tell us roughly where the location is, could it be on the egr?

  20. I do appreciate the help from both of you as I really want to save the old girl. Every engine rebuilder I speak to are saying no.
  21. Steve how would it work regarding hooking up the instrument cluster and injection pump as both are coded to the ECU? And I'd need to replace to radiator, starter motor etc wouldn't it? Would it bolt up to my 6 speed manual gearbox? Would it be easier to fit the 1.9 pd150? What's the service history on the engine Kev? What mileage has it done? what's the bhp etc? Interesting it's been mapped by darkside. Would it come complete, Ie: just take it out the iveco and go straight into the A6. And how much?? 🙂
  22. Sorry to hear of your situation. I know how it feels as I'm in a similar situation with my A6
  23. I'm in a similar boat with my A6 c5. In my case the fuel pump is coded to the imobiliser and instrument cluster and ECU. Plus there are different fuel.pump types depending on bhp of the engine. I suspect yours might be similar. As such I'd recommend you sourcing a bre engine or get yours rebuilt. Not going to lie, I'm struggling to find someone to rebuild mine.
  24. I have on my 1993 ford escort and use performance direct which costs me £180 per year
