  1. Could you try a shipping site like Shipley? I've used them to move cars before and can recommend the site. It's a sister company to ebay where people bid on your shipping order. Lowest bid wins and you choose which one you go for.
  2. Thanks for your thoughts and support Gareth and I do agree. When you look at AOC UK & club Audi who both get good turn outs for shows I just don't know where we're going wrong. Thank you, glad you appreciate my efforts, I do try.
  3. Thank you for your reply 🙂 I feel the same. It frustrates me I go to the trouble to try and arrange events, promote them and try and encourage others to come and then get only a handful of cars. Numbers have definitely dwindled as some shows we'd have 10+ cars. Plus it's proving hard to encourage new members to come along.
  4. I stand corrected. I thought coding was brought in after the introduction of start/stop (can't believe we've had that technology on main Street cars over over a decade!). So hadn't realised it was on earlier models.
  5. BERLIN, April 22 (Reuters) - Europe's carmakers should wean themselves off fossil fuels from 2040, chief executive of Volkswagen's (VOWG_p.DE) Audi said on Friday, calling for quicker expansion of renewable energy capacity in Bavaria, where Audi is based, and elsewhere. Discussions around a possible embargo on Russian gas in light of Moscow's invasion of Ukraine have raised pressure on companies and governments to expand investment into renewable energy, with Mercedes-Benz (MBGn.DE) promising new investments in wind and solar to help power its plants. read more Let's be courageous as Europeans and take it upon ourselves to give up on fossil fuels completely from 2040," Markus Duessmann said at a conference. "We must put all our energy towards battery-electric vehicles for individual mobility." Audi will stop selling combustion engine cars from 2033. Its parent Volkswagen will do so from 2035 in Europe and later in China and the United States, it has said. read more Still, other carmakers like BMW have warned against focusing exclusively on producing electric vehicles too soon, with demand for combustion engines still high. read more Germany's coalition government has said it is targeting a coal phase-out ideally by 2030, and aims to fulfil all its electricity needs with supplies from renewable sources by 2035. read more https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/european-carmakers-should-wean-off-fossil-fuels-by-2040-audi-chief-says-2022-04-22/
  6. I'd get a diagnostic check. Are there any engine management lights on? It could be MAF sensor, engine mounts?
  7. Wow let's see some pics and price. What's its history?
  8. Or 22 inch (10 × 22 inch) ABT SPORT GR rims with matt black paint and diamond-turned surface
  9. What about 22" Vossen CVT rims.. https://www.tuningblog.eu/en/categories/cars-from-az/vossen-cvt-audi-a8-d5-221731/
  10. You're welcome, glad Steve & I could help. Please keep us posted on how you get on 🙂
  11. Welcome to the forum Paul, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  12. You can call the AA or similar breakdown company who will come and plug a computer in to see if there are any fault codes. Could be a crank sensor maybe. How has the battery been tested?
  13. This should help too: https://www.power-steering.co.uk/audi-a3-power-steering-problems-racks-and-pumps/ It looks like coding on the 8p was 2011 onwards. So in which case I'd be looking back to the rack for the issues. But here's some advice if it does need coding: "Provided the battery is the same type (AGM or EFB) and the same Ah capacity (within sensible variation e.g. 60Ag or 65Ah) then all you need to do is change the serial number, what you change it to doesn't matter - it just needs to be different. The usual advice is that it is enough just to change one digit." also this link might help: https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/4112/
  14. Yep but the engines are the same. All VAG do is change the body from Audi, Skoda, Vw etc.
  15. Lol I mean A6 c5, but you already knew that! 🤣 Let's not get on the topic of the Sinclair c5, our views on electric vehicles (I call them all milkfloats) will bore most members to tears lol. In all seriousness though Steve, am I right in thinking that for self leveling suspension there would be a sensor connected to the shock? As that would narrow down the OP shock options. On another note, Dan you believe you can't get self leveling shocks for my a6 anymore.
  16. This link and picture might help: https://www.elektroda.com/rtvforum/topic3512980.html
  17. Glad you went, did you have a great day? Your car looks in great condition 🙂👍 Feel free to attend other shows with us and gave your car on display 👍
  18. Please keep us posted on how you get on 🙂
  19. Self leveling suspension isn't the same as air suspension. Air suspension has bags instead of springs. I suspect you should have self leveling suspension but the best thing to do is contact the parts suppliers to Mack sure you're getting the right ones. I'd get genuine parts if possible, but I've got sach rear shocks on my c5 and they're ok. I couldn't get genuine ones as they're no long made.
  20. Sat nav and cd player are separate? The sat nav might be an SD card type in the armrest storage compartment. If sat nav and cd are disc type then they should definitely be in the boot panels. Also this link might help:
  21. Does the battery need coding to the car? I'd say it was the sensor if the battery is new and coded (if needed).
  22. I agree with cliff on this the driver's door module controls all the other doors.
