  1. It does sound very strange, the fact the radio turns itself on when car is locked could easily be the cause of this, so the mmi definitely needs looking at thoroughly. I'd recommend an auto electrican to take a look.at the car. If the garage can't diagnose it then they should be sending it to Audi for the repair in my opinion.
  2. 66k was that the one on autotrader? Black estate 2.5? My 2.5 is on 341k on the original engine and gearbox which have never been rebuilt 🙂
  3. Lots of documented mmi issues. Audi are trying to find a fix. My advice would be to get it booked in to be looked at by your Audi dealer.
  4. They're definitely not cheap. What ever one you'll look at it'll need coding. I'd definitely recommend looking at a second hand one.

  9. Witter are well trusted aftermarket brand. The official licensed Audi product is by Westfalia
  10. It sounds like an aftermarket head unit. As such it might need an auto electrican or radio company to take a look. Definitely would recommend a rolling road run to see. But stage 2 should have upgraded induction kit/panel filter, straight through exhaust, remap. Could be an upgraded intercooler from the sounds of it, any pics? Should definitely not be loose and rear bench just clips in I believe. Speak to autologics as various members have used them for retrofits and been happy with results.
  11. No I haven't yet. I do believe it's a failing CCM in my case. Especially as the passenger floor got wet a couple of times.

  15. Good point and yes MAF would normally through a fault. Could it be an issue with.the fuel pump is it's getting starved of fuel? Gunged up?

  18. I guess it depends how urgently you need the use of the towbar. My dad has had multiple aftermarket ones fitted to various cars with no issues. I believe the genuine Audi one is made by Westfalia. The genuine one will also be a lot more which is worth considering.
  19. No probs. Still just as important it's been serviced. Degrading oil can affect gear changes. To the point the s tronic can refuse to go into reverse for example.
  20. Sounds like you've got a good plan. Bare in mind the magnetic shocks are expensive to replace and have to be coded to the car. Also make sure the car has had all required services. Manual gearbox is allegedly sealed for life which is nonsense as the seals fail. Also make sure quattro system works and has been serviced. Check tyres have even wear as uneven emerald can damage the quattro system. they're lovely cars my mate has the hard top.

  22. Firstly before changing the turbo have you definitely made sure it's that that's failed. Ie done a diagnostic check and checked the boost hoses for splits etc?
