If it's been purchased from a dealer then you can take it back for them to fix. I've found this picture, which lever are you missing? The one on the bottom or side of the seat? Have a search for Audi A3 8p seat adjuster etc on eBay or Amazon as I found a few.

I'd get another diagnostic check first to see if it is the same fault. As a failing MAF sensor etc could cause similar symptoms.

It's what I'd personally do. I know how you feel though as Im going to have to bite the bullet and get another garage take a look at my CCM as my garage don't do major electrical work which the car requires. I've put it off as I'm dreading taking it somewhere else.

Cliff could be on to something there. Let's face it, no one creates extra work by fitting additional wiring if there's wiring there, unless the old wiring can't take the extra power.

At least now with a permanent issue it'll be easier to diagnose. Good effort with your diagnostics so far. As Gareth says I'd still get this to a garage. Any decent garage will have a battery tester (my local one certainly does for example). Besides getting the garage to do a battery test m, a diagnostic check is the next sensible option. Out of curiosity the battery or boot didn't have signs if water ingress did it? I ask as water into any electronics with Audi's causes them to go haywire and do some strange things.

Jack has just got back to me, this is what he said: I had Stance+ coilovers. However they’re different based on engine size; the 1.6tdi and the smaller petrol’s have a solid rear axle rather than independent rear suspension like the rest of the models do

The key question here is, has the windscreen been fitted properly. Because if it's not sealed properly and allowing water into the car then this could be the cause for your electrical issues. Quite common on older Audi's like mine but I guess the principal would be similar with newer ones like yours. For example do the lights come on in certain weather conditions for example?

Yep I believe you can buy the SD cards from eBay. They'll be cheaper than Audi!

Jack P is the man to ask on here about coilovers etc as he had a modified 8v before his TT 🙂 I have messaged him and will let you know his response 🙂

As much as I can't help you on the wiring. The question formes need to be asked as to.why the previous owner has fitted a twin electric fan setup.

I personally prefer experience over facilities. I personally find the polish very knowledgeable when it comes to vag cars. I speak from experience of seeing how many A6 2.5tdi like mine in eastern Europe that have been extensively modded. However most mechanics here don't have knowledge of modify my engine! As you've had a good experience with him before then that's where I'd be going despite the road in my opinion.

I do agree if the gearbox hasn't been serviced then they can't say full history. Also sealed for life is misleading and nonsense too, especially if they're saying it has to be changed at 100k. Almost implies Audi don't think their products can do more than a 100k lol. Then again they want them to die asap so they can sell you another car or at the very least in your case a diff! Just think if the car was to last 20 years like my a6 has done what state that diff oil would be in 😬

Regarding my question, I'd say don't ignore your instincts. If you feel something isn't right then you're probably not wrong!

It completes Audi’s seven-strong attack on securing a record-breaking fourth victory in Australia’s International Enduro. “In 2011, we were a pioneer at the Bathurst 12 Hour as the first GT3 entrant,” says Chris Reinke, Head of Audi Sport customer racing. “In the meantime, many international brands have followed us and thus contributed to the event’s rise to one of the world’s most important GT3 endurance races.
