  1. Welcome to the forum Lee, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 i don't see no reason why not. The front should be a straight bolt in job but it's the rear I'm unsure about. My advice would be to get a leather interior from an a4 of the same year as yours. cheers Steve
  2. You're welcome Neil, glad I could help 🙂 cheers Steve
  3. Welcome to the forum Keith, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 id definitely consider the switch bto be honest. But it might be worth you checking the condition of the wiring which will be found under the seat I believe. cheers Steve
  4. I know what you're going through! I test my patience waiting for parts all the time! If you find a set new Leicester then I'd be happy to view them for you and send you up close pics. If you wanted them and bought them I'm happy to store them so you can order tnt to collect them. I say tht as I know they're happy to post office shaped items. I sent a gear box via them 2 weeks ago. Cheers Steve
  5. Sorry to hear of all your bad luck. It's the kind of luck I have too! I'm not sure if it will work as I'm sure the ECU for auto is slightly different. My advice would be to speak to a ECU specialist or Audi to see if it'll fit. Cheers Steve
  6. Well they're new q7s so it's a recent film. I guessing something gangster or spy related?
  7. Here's a link to an article about Volkswagens current emissions issue. https://autoevoke.com/index.php?/forums/topic/2088-volkswagen-deliveries-halted-by-wltp-emissions-certification/
  8. Welcome to the forum Neil, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 have you had a diagnostic check carried out at all? If not then this is what I would recommend. I'm guessing you're not losing any coolant etc. also it could be caused by failing crank sensors. also what colour is exhaust smoke? As this can be a tell tale sign there's an issue. cheers Steve
  9. Hi Kalle, in the UK it might be worth you trying a company could powerflow exhausts. They're all custom made. Cheers Steve
  10. Welcome to the forum Richard, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 you have a very nice a4 it looks in good condition 🙂 seats wise, think the fronts will fit ok but I'm unsure about the rear seats. My advice would be to find a set of seats and door cards from another b6 and would say eBay is your best bet. cheers Steve
  11. Here you go 🙂 next topic is WORK
  12. Welcome to the forum Neil, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 with the age and mileage of a4 you're looking at is checking the service history. This should ideally be full. You should check to see if the a4 you're looking at has had the emissions recall carried out. If it's just been done and it's up for sale then you have to question why. The dpf should be fine as long as the car hasn't been subjected to short runs in town etc. cheers Steve
  13. Welcome to the forum Steve, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 nice looking Q5 you have and a great colour and spec 🙂 cheers Steve
  14. If a garage has said it'll work then I'd go with what they say. Im assuming the gearbox isn't free?
  15. Result. I'm wondering if the password from last year is the same for this year? I'm checking to see what it was now.
  16. Welcome to the forum Paul, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 have you checked the linkages? Or had a garage have a look at your gearbox? think you'll need a DRW gearbox on my opinion. cheers Steve
  17. Welcome to the forum Bill, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 With regard to serving it depends on what engine you have. But on a lot of Audi's it's 2 years/20k or 1 year 10k depending on which plan the car left with. I suspect yours is on.the one year plan and I think you could be right about the countdown starting once the car left the factory. my advice would be to ring round the local Audi dealers to see which is cheapest and you may find that one of them may have an offer on for oil changes. Your other option is to take it to a local garage or Audi specialist and as long as they use genuine Audi parts and oil for the service, your warranty will still be valid. cheers Steve
  18. Now if I recall misting on shocks is fine, but you'll need to replace them once they start leaking. They can be Misty for a very long time before they start to leak and it's not an MOT failure for them to be Misty (I think, was the case on the old rules). However, it might be worth you checking with the new MOT rules that came into force last May as this could be classed as a fail now, but I doubt it. Other members my correct me on this if I'm wrong. Now correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't your a5 have a brake pad warning light? I know my much older a6 does and it's at that point the brake pads need changing. Cheers Steve
  19. You're welcome 🙂 as you've tried another a4 my theory is that the two systems aren't designed to work together for some strange reason. have you spoke to Audi about this?
  20. Wow, it certainly sounds a bicer motor! Does amaze me how Austin still has a connection to people long after the brand is gone. The first ever car my family owned was a second hand 1930s Austin 10 chrome grill (1932-1934 model) in black, purchased in approx 1954. My grandad bought it from a scrapyard and did it up to some degree. Used it a number of years then scrapped it himself.
  21. They're lovely motors and the avant is so practical 🙂
  22. It's a tricky question if no one has seen the part before. Especially something bso small it would be easily missed by most. I wonder if it's a gromet holding the bonnet insulation in place? Or a gromet to fit somewhere near the bulkhead? My suspicion is that there will be lots of them somewhere in the engine bay, like the bulkhead area etc.
