  1. Couldn't find it in the forum, but found this: https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/8529/ Allegedly this is the purpose: (Still should have a part number though surely!) "Coolant Expansion Tank with Silicate Repository The coolant expansion tank contains a silicate repository. Silicate is used to protect the aluminum components in the coolant system from corrosion. There are silicates in the G13 coolant, but they are used up over time if the engine is subject to high thermal loads. To compensate for the silicate consumption, silicate is taken from the repository and added to the coolant. The silicate repository provides additional protection against corrosion for the aluminum components in the coolant system over the entire lifespan of the engine."
  2. Without the phone I'm not sure this is possible
  3. Could be an abd wheel sensor. Might be worth having a diagnostic check carried out to confirm this.
  4. It's worth a shot or changing the light board.
  5. Are the front door well carpets wet?
  6. I agree with Gareth, Audi uk needs to be contacted. This isn't normal. If it were done by Audi, the cannisters would have a part number and would be easily ordered from a parts department. If there's no part number it cannot be ordered. Surely fitting something to s coolant system which can cause failure to other components is not logical.
  7. I've never heard of this. Might be worth your mechanic taking nthe system apart, getting the cannisters out to see if they have an Audi part number. If they don't have an Audi part number then I'd say something isnt right
  8. That discoloration is not good. Have you taken it to any hand car washes at all? I ask as some of them use products which aren't designed to be used for cleaning cars. If you've not then I'd be taking it to Audi for them to look at. Regarding the camera cleaning, have you topped up the tank for the nozzle. If so too much solution may have been used. I had a similar issue with my washer jets and I'd put in too much solution and not diluted it enough.
  9. That's interesting, have you informed the garage you bought it from of your findings?
  10. Hope that works 👍 if not I'm wondering if it's the alarm system draining it, especially as you left it unlocked.
  11. I'd be looking at independent Audi specialists in the west mids. I know there's chapman's independent Audi specialist in winston, Leicester or worse case scenario get Audi to fit it
  12. You're welcome, definitely
  13. No worries, but curious now as always wanted to go ace cafe! Great looking a4 too by the way 🙂
  14. I think service history has a part to.plsy in.this. has the gearbox had the relevant fluid changes? But I do appreciate that any electrical.items can fail.
  15. Oo right, might be worth getting a diagnostic check carried out as I wonder if a sensor is playing up?
  16. Steve Q replied to Mr Seely's topic in Audi Q7 Club
Not heard of anyone having any issues. What problem have you got with it?.
  17. What are it's symptoms?
  18. I think it could. I definitely would be looking at the linkages first 👍
  19. Nice one! Looks like you had a great time 😂
  20. Welcome to the forum Paul, we'll keep an eye out
  21. Yea not related to us, page didn't load unfortunately though.
  22. You'd need to escalate it via Audi customer care. How much good will is Audi offering? Think you'd be very lucky to get it done FOC.
