  1. It could be as simple as the ship not arriving yet. We have some of the busiest ports in the world and I wouldn't be surprised if the ship has been delayed. Cheers Steve
  2. Glad I have :) 29k is 10k off Audi's recommend oil change interval. So it'll be interesting to see what they say. It's many moons ago now (over ten years in fact!) But I remember the original audi TT had an issue with the dsg box (sister box is to s tronic) whereby a metal fork would break inside the box resulting in certain gears not being able to be selected. This was also highlightsed on wheeler dealers Audi TT episode. Also the TT was one of the first, if not the first vag car to have the dsg gearbox but obviously the dsg/s tronic box has been improved in that time. Cheers Steve
  3. Lol that's a good point! I'm normally rubbish bwith actors. I'll remember the face but can't remember where I've seen them!
  4. You're welcome, hope I've helped :) What mileage is the rs4 on now? It's certainly a lovely 40th birthday present :) Cheers Steve
  5. Hi Pete, Please could you upload some pics of both cars as that'll help our members to give you offers :) I love to see high mile a6s as I too own a high miler :) Cheers Steve
  6. Well I've used it for one tank and still have half a bottle left for a second tank. So I'll be using it again to see if the a6 gets smoother :)
  7. Oh Paul you're too good at this!! You are 100% correct!
  8. Welcome to the forum Kevin, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Thank you so much for your kind words about the forum :) we all work really hard but it wouldn't be the same without our great members :) Alfas are nice cars and the interiors look and feel nice. It's just a shame about the electrics! The DNA system in the newer ones is fun too :) The b5 is a nice car and it sounds nice in purple! Not a very common colour. If you've had the battery area checked and other parts of the bulkhead then yes it could be the windscreen if it's not been bonded in properly. Has the a4 got a sunroof by any chance? Does the radio come on and light up? A common issue with the radios from this era is that the pixels in the LCD screen fail hence why they don't work. I believe the radio can be fixed but you'd be better off sourcing a second hand unit from eBay or similar. And you'll need the radio code for any replacement radio. Cheers Steve
  9. Full marks Paul!! I'm clearly making this far too easy! Here's a new one and the clue it's a crime drama and one we've not had before.
  10. I thought it would be. On the a6 c7 there have been reports of the car not engaging certain gears but namely reverse. One of the believed causes is old gearbox oil and in most cases after the oil has been changed the gearbox has been fine. Thankfully you have audi warranty so they should fix this ok. But it still.might be worth you checking to see if and when the gear box oil has been changed. Cheers Steve
  11. Welcome to the forum Stuart, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Is your rs4 manual or auto? Cheers Steve
  12. Welcome to the forum Alasdair, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) You could definitely try and buy an SD card off eBay and try it. If that fails then your best bet is Audi I'm affraid. Cheers Steve
  13. Welcome to the forum Thomas, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) I've watched/listened to the video more than once and can't point put the noise you are referring to. Sorry. Could you elaborate on the noise? Cheers Steve
  14. The lambda sensor monitors the oxygen in the emissions and relays this info back to the ecu and thus it helps with the running of the engine. Normally when a lambda sensor fails you'll find that the car may loose power, go into limp mode or just have an engine management light on the dash. The engine management light on the dash would also be an MOT failure on the new rules. I'm unsure about the down pipe to be honest but I suspect it's a single pipe. Cheers Steve
  15. Hi Karen, It could be a loose wire as your garage has stated or in a worse case it could be the instrument cluster. My advice would be to get a auto electrician have a look to see if there is a loose wire or faulty earth. Or alternatively you could get a diagnostic check carried out to see what fault codes flag up. Cheers Steve
  16. Here's a new one. The clue is that it's a 2018 childrens film.
  17. I've never heard of this tv series Paul but I'll have to take a look :) There are some really good tv series on netflix but I find now tv better for films.

    DPF

I worked in a Volkswagen service department and can confirm the dpf can fail at as little as 50k if you are doing short drives. You should do a motorway drive at least once a week for a dpf regeneration to take place. To be fair it's the same with the egr and egr cooler too.
  19. Have to agree Gareth. This is what the club is all about :)
