Indeed, a Merry Christmas to all you good folks on here, and hoping Father Christmas fulfills your wishes. Stay young and believe in him, and when you do grow old, decide to grow up tomorrow, and even then do so disgracefully! Enjoy the break, and wishing you good health and enjoyable motoring in 2018.
Kind regards as always,
Gareth.
To you too Gareth :)
I hope you all have a happy, healthy and prosperous new year :)

To those owners who have experienced issues. Please see this recent Audi recall which relates to faulty wiring connectors which can cause the risk of fire on a4, a5 and Q5 models. Audi are recalling 1.27 cars world wide. Here's the link:

Hope it's useful.

Audi are recalling a4, a5 and 5 models built between April 2011 and may 2015 due to a electrical connector fault which can cause a thermal overload and burning smell or even a fire.
More info here:

Hope this info.is useful.

Hi Ian, welcome to the forum.
Key thing is service history. Ideally this should be full and any 2011 car your looking at is probably due a cambelt and water pump change. Black edition is a good spec but once again make sure everything works as it should.
In terms of gearbox, if it's auto make sure the gear changes are smooth in both manual and auto as it can be expensive to fix if it breaks.
If you were looking at Quattro fitted vehicle make sure that it works properly as the system can be sensitive even uneven Tyre wear can potentially damage it.
It's probably wise to get an independent inspection carried out. Companies such as the AA and RAC offer this service. If the seller is reluctant or refuses then you have to wonder if they or the car has something to hide!
I've found this video on YouTube that may be of some use:
Hope I've helped :)

It's definitely not the norm for the brand but it shows you can't be too careful even with a main dealer!
I'd be looking at other allroads if it were me. Serving is key in my book. That's how my a,6 has covered 328k on the original engine and gearbox which have never been rebuilt.
Keep us posted on your search :)

On the Audi configurator it states that the A3 3 door is subject to availability. On the configurator app it doesn’t even show as an option. Is this temporary or are the discontinuing the 3 door?
Yep, the a3 3 door is being discontinued. The info was released in august. Here is the thread I posted in the news section:

Hey Edd,
I'd say if you.havent noticed any change in it's noise then I wouldn't worry about it. At the end of the day, you as the owner and driver are best placed to know the little noises your a6 makes. They've probably told you about it to cover themselves if you see what I mean.

Welcome to the forum, servicing for vag cars is 20k or 2 years which ever comes first, as they use long life oil I believe. Therefore it has missed a service by 6 months and 1000 miles. As a general rule this should be ok but I have to agree and question whether it fits into Audi approved used criteria.
It sounds to me like it was an ex lease car or company car, or something like that. What did the dealer say when you point it out?
Cheers

Hmm, now there's a question. I'd take Audi's word for it as it's harder to prove but I'd still say there is something wrong with your a5.
Sorry I can't help more.

Hey Lennox, not sure where the best place would be for you to get a glove box but if it's any help your owners manual will help you identify what interior colour code you have on the front page.
Sorry I can't help more.

Welcome to the forum Amar, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :)
You are correct in saying 25mpg isn't right! I get more out of my 02 plate a6 2.5tdi v6 diesel!
My key question you need to ask is whether or not your a5 has had the emissions update as per the vw emissions scandal. I bet it has and this us believed to affect fuel economy. Audi/Volkswagen deny this of course. But have a look under the recalls section with regard to the emissions update. You'll find various bits of useful info there.
Sorry I can't help more and sorry the diagnostic check didn't throw any faults up.

It might be worth you having a look at direct4x4.co.uk to see what they have. They cater for all sorts of 4x4 but I've never had personal experience from them.

Merry Christmas Jay,
Here is a wheel guide I found a while ago. Hope it helps :)
Bear in mind the bigger the wheels the harder you make the ride.
