thanks steve. as soon as I noticed the staining I started using a thin seat cushion just in case it was from my work clothes. It did cross my mind though that it may be something reacting to the heat. The car was fully valeted before I bought it so there is a possibility. Thanks for your thoughts steve. You have given me an avenue to explore. Much appreciated.
You're welcome, glad I could help :)
Gareth raises some very good points too, with regard to the cleaning products.
Cheers

Ahhhh ffs really didn’t want to take the bumper off. Why do they make things so difficult, a half hour job changing lights usually. Oh well thanks guys will post a photo up when they are fitted. Thanks again
Glad we could help, sorry it wasn't with better news.
Cheers

Welcome to the forum Steve, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :)
Well 2 things are coming to my mind. Firstly, drinks or other stuff has been leaked into.the seats which have been absorbed into the seat foam. As the heater elements are on this is allowing the stains to come through due to the heat.
The other thing I'm wondering is if your a3 has had any diamond bright or other interior protection applied which is reacting with the heat.
I'm just guessing though and sorry I didn't help more.

I've always used Bridgestone tyres are n my a6, as did my dad. He felt they were the best brand of Tyre for the a6 c5 :)

Great videos and pics Dave :) glad you're getting on well with the continental winter tyres :)

I can confirm they are genuine a3 wheels. They were fitted to the s3 model I believe. To confirm they are genuine there should be an Audi logo stamped into the wheel, as well as a part number.
Hope Ive helped :)

And yet i still get people offering me £600 haha it is a gem! id love to own a high miler with 300k on, it becomes legendary and the more miles it gets the more proud id be! its one of those things i would happily wait for the right new owner to come along than give it to someone who isn't going to appreciate it.
Merry xmas
Wow! People have no clue. My insurance company valued mine at £1500 recently! Owning a high miler gets respect especially as mine was owned by my dad from new. It does get expensive though, as parts wear out, but I live it and wouldn't have it any other way :)
Glad youve chosen to offer it for sale on here :) if however you do decide to keep it, then you would be more than welcome to display it at up and coming shows with us on our club displays :)
Cheers

Thanks Steve, i will be sad to see it go as its been looked after and you never find these. it really drives amazingly a true testament to them you wouldn't know it had 150k miles.
You're welcome :)
I have to say I've never seen another 1.9tdi with that spec! Someone really went to town with the options list! A really rare car! It definitely looks looked after and 150k is nothing for this engine, especially as it's been well maintained. My a6 has the 2.5tdi engine with full history which has done 328k and has never been rebuilt.
Merry Christmas :)

I don't think the petrol ones will change it much. I'm with the others on this and a backbox delete, it won't make it too loud either.
IV found this video on YouTube which has a a4 diesel with the backbox delete:
Hope it's useful :)
Cheers, and merry Christmas :)

Hey Ben, sorry to hear your selling this lovely a4. That is a cracking spec in my opinion!
I think you should keep it, but I understand your reasoning for selling.

Need opinions on Audi A4 B5 facelift
in Audi A4 (B5) Forum

Welcome to the forum Lauris, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) happy new year by the way :)
The a4 b5 is a nice car and there are members on here who use them as daily drivers. Here's some reviews which may help:
Hope they're useful :)
From my personal experience of using an old Audi daily, it can get expensive when things go wrong! But my a6 has done 328k miles and is still doing atleast 2k miles a month. But I love it and wouldn't have it any other way due to the sentimental value of my a6 :)
As I say maintenance is key, so any car your looking at, make sure it has good service history. This is even more important on high mileage examples. When looking at any b5 make sure all electronic items work and the air con works. If the air con is broken it could cost around £1000 to fix if it's the pump or condenser etc.
Also see when the cambelt and water pump we're last changed as these can be around £500 to sort. Don't forget to listen out for any knocking noises when the engine is cold or any white smoke from the exhaust.
Hope I've helped :)
Cheers
