  1. You need proof of emissions for DVLA tax and ULEZ. Otherwise it'll be a nightmare.
  2. Please keep us posted on how you get on
  3. If you bought it from a dealer then they should fix any issues free of charge in the first 30 days.

I definitely think you need to be asking the importer to contact VW Japan as they clearly can communicate in the language. If you owned it less than 30 days you can return it for a full refund
  5. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂 It's definitely not an old man car. Regarding forums you'll find most of them will show the horror stories, as people don't come onto them when everything is working and good.
  6. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  7. I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Could be an issue with the cam sensor, lambda sensor, maf sensor.
  8. Looks a lovely cabrio. Glad you tracked down why brand they are.
  9. The screens do fail and you can get replacements. Did you buy it from a dealer? If it's overheating you need to get it into a garage for proper diagnosis.
  10. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch. Check service history for proof of cambelt and water pump changes and gearbox services. Make sure ac works as compressors can be expensive. Make sure the heater works consistently between all vents and heat is the same. If not it could be an issue with the heater matrix. Issues with dpf, egr are well documented. Check YouTube videos for buyers guides
  11. Definitely try this. If the discs are warped then it brings into question how the car is being driven or the quality of the discs.
  12. Could it be an issue with an auxiliary belt or tensioner?
  13. Have you checked the engine or gearbox mounts? Could it be a clutch/dmf issue?
  14. Any second hand one or new one will need to be coded to the car.
  15. Wowsers that's a big saving. Thanks for the write up Dave I'll pin your post so it'll be easier for other q7 owners to find
  16. Think it takes a reading from the gearbox
  17. Where have you tried so far? You could try eBay, or the old fashioned way and Google local breakers yards that might have a VAG group vehicle with the same engine.
  18. Looks great so far please keep us updated with your progress 🙂
  19. Glad you got sorted and the forum helped you 🙂
  20. Think you need to get this into a garage as soon as you can.
  21. Is it worth having a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up?
  22. Welcome to the forum you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch 🙂
  23. Keep us posted on how you get on
  24. Please keep us posted on how you get on. Also the VW T-Roc or Seat Ateca one might fit as they're sisters to the q2.
