  1. Hi Dan the cheapest option is to have a remap that ksps out the adblue system. That way you won't have a problem with the system again. The remap should cost between £200-500
  2. I think if you fit lled ones you'll.enf up throwing up a bulb out warning as LEDs draw less power than normal bulbs.
  3. I'd recommend getting it to a garage.
  4. Try osram night breaker bulbs. Wet on the inside I'm assuming? If so I'd check that the rest of the carpets aren't wet. Then I'd check the scuttle panel where the battery is for blocked water drains at the bottom of the battery tray. Also check if water is getting in via the pollen filter housing.
  5. I thought sat nabs had to be added by dealer only?

  7. Can't speak for the A3 but I know on the A6 C5 the exhaust was different depending on if you had quattro or not. The S3 will have quattro

  11. Is the warranty with them or through a third party? If purchased within the first 6 months it's responsibility of the dealer to prove the issue wasn't there when you bought it. After 6 months it's the other way around. This applies to all goods purchased with new or used.
  12. Oh I'd trust eBay. eBay are always on the side of the buyer not the seller. Plus if you pay via PayPal then you've got extra protection. I've been buying from eBay for 10 years bot not had an issue.

  16. Doesn't matter if it's main dealer or not, all dealers have to comply with the sale of goods act. Did you put petrol in it? If not then it sounds like they're fobbing you off.
  17. Is it worth contacting powerflow exhausts to see if they can manufacture one for you?
  18. If under warranty I'd leave it with the dealer to find the fault.
  19. There's always I higher risk of gearbox failure on high mileage cars. But that could go for any major components really.

  21. Service history is key. Ideally it should be full service history. Check for proof of cambelt and water pump changes as well as s-tronic gearbox oil changes and oil changes for the quattro system if applicable. Check YouTube for buyers guides. Make sure all electronic items work as some of these such as AC components etc can be expensive to change.
  22. For this to be plug and play the numbers AND letters have to match. Otherwise you'll need it to be coded.
  23. What a bargain! Be careful regarding air bag wiring though as connectors can vary. As such, if conne tors are different the easiest option is to change the airbags abs wiring from your current seats to the new ones believe it or not.
  24. Have they got invoices backing up the stamps in the book? Admittedly this may not help much though as it'll be in Japanese. Due to the strict MOT rules in Japan, I will suspect it's had everything done. As I believe everything has to work on a car in Japan for it to pass an mot. Make sure the seller is changing the language to English on all car systems. As this can be an issue otherwise. I see your in Ely, if that's London I'd highly recommend you get the supplying dealer get you a certificate of conformity from VAG as this will help prove the cars emissions regarding ULEZ.
