It has come to that time of year when I sit in my office at home for hours on end looking for the best deal to insure my E-Tron G.T. Dead line is June 28th, still waiting for Admiral's renewal quote, but the online figures are coming out at about £2700+. It is a good job I like the G.T. Especially as in March it will need to be taxed which will be £195 plus £415 luxury car tax. These insurance companies just don't like us older chaps. Who don't drive at excessive speed, and are not going to wrap it round the nearest lamp post.

Hi, new to this forum. Would like to thank all the members as read about the lockout that occurs after about 20 times the warning appears.Replaced the sensor, cleared fault using vids and has never appeared again.
110 pound from main “stealer” ,was quoted over 3 grand by an independent , thanks to this forum saved a small fortune and all the headaches.
When I mentioned the fix to the independent garage they looked at me blankly, didn’t know about it.
Thanks to all.
Hello Eamon? You seem to have altered your name to something implausible. Any reason?
The chances of anyone having these are slim enough to ignore the possibility, let alone the postage cost to get them to you.
Depending on fronts or backs, Parts in Motion seem to be listing pairs of rears from around £48 inc. postage.
Please amend your name, and let us know what you think.
Regards,
Gareth.
Read a similar error, that was eventually traced to a vacuum leak off the EGR cooler. I think at the very least you are going to need VCDS and then measuring blocks which basically gives you live data. The fault code is one thing, but you need to understand why, and live data should help pinpoint.
This was on 2010 model. https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/378244/
Go to a professional body shop. Had a similar issue with an old 2012 A4 Allroad. It’s classed as Platinum Grey 1RR, however will no doubt vary across models. When I spoke to Audi main dealer, it didn't even show up as a code.
Phoned a few body shops and ones that are Audi and Porsche approved and they said it can’t be blended. Entire panel would need to be painted. As it’s matt/satin effect, it’s notoriously difficult to achieve consistent effect with rattle cans. Hope that helps.
Do t get me started. My wife's Jag xe is getting harder and harder to insure. Companies don't want to touch anything from the jaguar land rover group.
It's about time insurance companies were more heavily regulated
Thanks Gareth
i am going to buy the full section this is how they are usually sold on eBay it also seems to be the cheapest option, the part number i am using for a comparison is from the driveshaft difficult to use part number from hub, no barcode or sticker part number. So I am buying the same part number driveshaft with the hub attached, I have now sourced and purchased one I’m hoping this will be the one. Fingers crossed.
Thanks again for your response I appreciate it.
Yes you would think that but no I am doing the hunting for the parts.
Mine have been removed now so I am comparing parts via images and numbers but none seem to be exact.
Hi Dan. No, you just said that you were unable to offer me cover. I know that the problem is that I am 81 years old driving a high powered car. Also unfortunately I picked up a speeding ticket last month which was most annoying. I was taking my son and his wife to Gatwick at 03.40 in the morning and set a camera off in Selsdon. It clocked me at 34 mph!!! and I got a £100 fine and 3 points for that. I know that the insurance is going to expensive but I have a car which is my pride and joy. I have had it 2 years now and have only done 6100 miles so it is not as if I am chasing up and down motorways with it.
