It may work differently with the different operating systems - what about using bluetooth Audio? Personally the easiest option in my opinion is to use an old iPod and just keep it as a hard drive for the car. Seems a bit backwards in some ways but it works well...

Must admit I tend to stick with the book too. Should have recommendations for towing too?

That does look quite high to be honest. Can you post another photo from the side on? Perhaps someone has changed the wheels at some point?

Hi Dave, I imagine you will only find the complete thing on ebay? I doubt the plastic cover is sold separately? Also you need to thing about mileage adjustment as a used one will be different and a new one will be on 0 of course. Not 100% but the new part may also need programming to your car to work. Audi dealer will be the simplest solution but also not cheap I imagine.

Quite possible yes. I'd suggest it needs plugging in anyway to check what fault codes are stored and go from there...

Is it just that the airbag light has come on? Have they scanned it for fault codes?

Looking on their site it looks like they do a 30mm pro kit for it? Can't see a 40 to 50mm though that's quite a drop.

Sorry to hear you've had so much trouble with your Audi - I think sometimes you just get unlucky. I've had friends with both BMWs and Audis who've had cars that have had no issues what so ever, and some that have had problems with both cars. Sometimes just luck of the draw I guess. Are you fixing it up and selling it one then?

I think you just have to suck it up and buy the newer one unfortunately. If you're current one isn't that old you could always try selling it on ebay to make up some of the cost? Also, is yours a 65 plate? If so I personally wouldn't waste your money on the update yet as it won't be that different.

£900... a corner! Wow, I nearly fell off my chair! Perhaps don't worry too much about condition if you get a good price as you could always have them refurbished before fitting them providing you budget for that?

Hi Mik, Price is very competitive actually, possibly almost too cheap compared to others on auto trader. Just make sure you do enough miles to warrant having the diesel. They don't tend to like lots of short journeys.

I don't think that sounds too bad if you've had a quote of £1600 to repair it. I'm sure someone will try and knock you down a bit more though as they always do!

Ah that explains it... couldn't quite tell from the photos. Looks like a nice colour though together with those wheels - very subtle!

Hi Steve, welcome to AOC! What engine did you got for in the A3? Are you looking to buy the wheels used rather than new accessory wheels from Audi?

So if you put it into drive first after a cold start and then reverse they work ok?

Looks like a reasonable unit I'm sure it would do everything you want. I see this one has front USB - some also have rear USB so you can tuck away your phone/ipod etc in the glovebox or somewhere else.
